DIXANADU DVD reviews [+spoilers]

Well.. I created a new thread because flowersofnight asked us to do it!


This is a review made by a brazilian girl, who lives in Japan, Ane-chan! She received her DVD this night (for us who live in America, lol), and she's very happy with it!

It's a short review, but still adorable!
I loved it, because she seems so thrilled, confused and excited by the same time, that she actually doesn't follow and order to talk about the DVD, lol!! But it's super cute!

[INTRO]

I started to watch it. In the beginning I was looking at each detail, Seth's eyes and the following given by K. Meanwhile watching it, I saw myself completely lost in the blue world of Dixanadu. I seemed to by flying, and that might sound a little bit stupid, but it's my emotional side talking by myself... I lost myself into Seth's voice and the amazing group they build together. It's fantastic.

The DVD actually brings us to the concert, due to the camera movements and cut-scenes, it seems like they've used lots of cameras *d'oh xD*

I'll make a quick comment about a couple of songs.

Immortal Madness is totaly "DIX". It was so beautiful, and Seth really dances like a snake. K did a great job the whole time :B!
During I.M. Mana recorded the public with a "hand-camera" [NT: IDK how to translate it, but it is a portable camera]. The "DIX" dance is made by Seth and the public. [NT: I guess she's refering to the 'dispell bound' dance, with the d i and x positions].

I can barely remember, but it seems like Seth, K and the others shook hands with the public and sent kisses. Sugiya is very cute, really!!!

About the extras... There are 3 options. The first one is a documentary about all the places they went, except Paris (which has its own session).
The one about the Germany was the one I liked the most, which is where by they took the picture from the cover of the DVD .
They actually do a lot of jokes and K is who (usually) tells what they're doing and narrate the whole thing.

The members are shown with less make-up than normal, except Mana, without lipsticks, because they're going to eat, i guess... It also shows their dressing up and with some another clothes.
Seth appears with a sleep-jacket (something like this).

Photoshoots are made, and they even go to the supermarket, where K would like to buy some Sake.

There's also an enterview with 3 kids! They talked that even though they were too small to see the show, it was good and totally worthy [or something like that]. They were very cute!!

Oh! Pay attention when you first start the DVD! It's magnificent, don't lose anything [???] ~ Angelica is played in the beginning.

Well.. I keep my words here now, because I said too much, and said nothing at the same time. My opinion summits in: I almost died of anxiety, and it was worthy!

I'm very happy with the DVD, it's gorgeous, and so are the members. I'm thrilled with them.
Sugiya and hayato are very cool, backstage and onstage!
I'm sorry if I didn't say much about Mana, but coming out from him, it's perfectly what we expected.

Wow, that's really cute, and this made me want the DVD even more now! XD Ugh, I hope I'll get it tomorrow, or I'll have to wait until monday .__.;

But Saturday is actually... in less than 2 days that's not so much. You can handle it!! LOL
I bought mine through a brazilian store (jrockmarket), and I guess it's coming by EMS, but I haven't paid it yet LOL ;_; sooo... I'm quite screwed. I want it so much ;_;

England is the worst country in the world for customs! T^T I know how you feel and I hope you don't get customs on your order since it was bigger, wasn't it?

i laughed at the part where mana is at some playground climbing on things, and the kids run away, as if he's the giant snowman (he was wearing that white stage outfit) . also, they spelled italy as "itary" twice.

I got my DVD earlier today, but I'm not at home right now so I haven't seen it yet. I'm really amazed that I can get my order the day after it's released--CDJapan does their job.

Gawd... The anticipation... It's too much!

That dvd was worth the wait and worth everything. [sorry I'm still in obsessive cultish MdM mode o_O ) My dvd came in today while I was at school, I instantly kicked off my shoes, did my usual routine at home when i get here, then I secluded myself in the room, shut off my lights, put on the headphones and went ready to rock out.

The intro of the dvd was great, it reminded me of magical Disney opens and for some reason Tinkerbell . . . don't ask. The first thing I noticed was that the dvd itself was much higher quality, and there was none of that really weird cut scenes with Mana just walking around in places like in Invite to Immorality. (like none of you guys thought it was goofy too ) I can't really sum it all up right now since I'm still in a kind of energetic shock mode, but the music was fantastic as to be expected, the energy was incredible. They rocked out and I joined them. It felt like I was there in the concert with them, again I have to say that the shots were awesome. The parts where they let the crowd join in "Dix Love" and "Dispell Bound" were some of my favorites. They really love their fans and it shows. I joined in the dance, and I'm not embarrassed to say, I was glad I could finally do the Dispell Bound moves while seeing the band do it as well. (It's a relief to find out I was actually doing it right all along) As for the features, they were my favorite part of the entire thing. Although there were no English subtitles besides some short parts (especially when Mana 'talks') I could understand pretty much what was going on and they had me in fits of laughter at the "suddenly"'s. Watching them all play air guitar like that made me smile and laugh so much, it was just really awesome. I haven't laughed like that in a really long time. I can't really say much more now, my mind is a bit fuzzy. I'll leave with saying, I will wait in fear for the day Mana comes and performs in the USA, NY. I know he will someday.

By the way I got a screenshot of Mana genuinely smiling while having a lot of fun doing air guitar with the rest of the band. I had to screenshot it because that was the most wonderful random pause i did when I went to go get a drink. XD I don't know if I'm allowed to post that here though.
