There are tons of Alex here, but I've never heard about a single Xander, I didn't even know that some people could have such a name or nickname outside of France, so I just got used to it.

Edit : never heard about Buffys, too, before the series, but... and Willows, and Giles, and Angels... ok I'll shut my mouth, now.

Yeah, I knew Buffy was short for Elizabeth and I'd heard of Willow, and Giles is a surname, but Xander...XD Drucilla, now I'd never heard that before.

Buffy is short for Elizabeth?!

I've only seen one episode of buffy, and i absolutely hated it, since then i'm wondering why people like it and pondering that possibility of my seeing one really bad episode... with bad set, acting, storyline, low budget looking, the whole nine yards...

i still wanna see more episodes though because i wanna find ouyt. i don't like having an ignorant opinion. the thing that keeps me away is that i'm not going to buy a DVD that i possible will hate, and i don't watch television.

^ which episode did you see? I can understand why people would be put off after seeing one random episode, especially if it was one in the earlier seasons which tended to be more stand-alone such as The Puppet Show.

Thank you, lampposts! And yes - that's actually a photo I took of my lights-up-in-the-dark plastic eyeball. It's really cool. The light inside it changes colour, and it's kinda weighted so you can roll it around and it wobbles but the eyebally bit stays at the top.
