Well, you can't just leave it at that. How did that happen? I would think most people who have heard of Schwarz Stein are people who knew them from back in the day.

I'm sure they would be appalled to hear it, but I'd put "Queen of Decadence" and "kuro ageha" up there as their most iconic songs. Let me round out the honor roll with, say... "Current" and "Addictive Epicurean".

Alright so, history time:
Haha I'm just 18yo, when Schwarz was, well, really something I was a kid, a baby. But in 2018 I started to do Gothic Lolita, and then I met Hora! Obviously just on internet and in twitter feed, but I forgot to listen his songs (I thought he was a model), and then in 2019 I met MALICE MIZER!!! ~the best moment of my life lmao~ so Moi dix Mois (M10M has become from my acknowledge early than MM, but I don't remember when. Was before my lolita boom). Being a member of the EGL community, some friends of mine recommended me Kaya's songs, and then I met Schwarz Stein.

Nice! Queen of Decadence is one of my favorites, I'm listening right now while I'm writing this post. So, Queen of Decadence is a pretty suspect because people says the song was made just like a disstrack to Mana. (check the comments of Queen of Decadence on youtube).
Btw, my favorite one is Last Hallucination.

Considering they wrote queen of Decadence back when they were Rudoplh Steiner that would have been quite the preemptive diss.
Since they didn't actually know Mana yet or have any involvement with him whatsoever.

Hora as a model is amazing XD

Anyhow, I've been listening to Shuva a lot recently too as a throwback. Kugo Ageha's great, but I also like Current, Rise to Heaven, and New Vogue Children (who wouldn't like a song about a sodom baby army devouring the heteros)

Or put another way, at the time Mana was still a celebrity and Schwarz Stein were kids opening for Hisui at Club Gio.
Let the record show that I had a most delightful metaphor prepared on this subject but since it meant nothing to you I'm omitting it here XD

And actually, I want to alter my vote and add "Corroded Cage" to the honor roll. That's probably Hora's finest effort in the musical department, with the most variation and dynamism.

Cash, Hallyday, Ringo, ils sont tous pareils à mes yeux

(I've realized it's more fun to be flippant in French)

New Vogue Children is a banger album, I'm just heavily biased towards Artificial Hallucination. It really felt like the apex of their sound together and I still stand by that even after they reunited.

1. Current
2. Perfect Garden
3. fester love
4. transient
5. release me

shout out to Kuroi Ageha which isn't technically an SS song. It must be the only track that was part of both rudolf steiner and another cell. I'm also really curious to hear the remix of Perfect Garden.

Perfect Garden is one of the most magical songs, reminds me a bit of Kingdom Hearts;

LMAO New Vogue Children is funny because my dad actually thinks it's a bop, and he doesn't know Japanese.
And Hora is one of my top crushes of all time, so he's a model!!! LMAO ::squeeeee::

The first song I discovered randomly (I was into anime and japanese culture) while looking for japanese music was Perfect Garden. I immediately fell in love with it. That was long time ago, when I was 17 moreless (I'm 35 now). I was so obsessed I even tried to learn to play a keyboard, and purchased a midi controller. Anyway, my top 8:

1. Transient
2. Perfect Garden
3. Kuro Ageha
4. Queen of Decadence
5. Addictive Epicurean
6. Inner Universe (both original and Kaya's version)
7. New Vogue Children
8. HAVEN (my favorite from this era)
