Ok, as we all know, Our beloved Juka is no longer a member of Moi Dix Mois but, I was wondering, Do any of you guys think they'll go the route of Malice Mizer i.e. When MM got a new singer they only did one...maybe two songs from the other era's? Will this just be considered the Juka era, or will they continue with the songs they have now with whoever else they get? Thanks.

P.s. I know it makes sense to keep the songs they already have.... But as I said, Malice Mizer didn't.

I think Mana is the only person who knows the answer to that question. I personally hope they will keep performing the old songs, even if they have to tweak them to be able to do that, but Mana has been talking about wanting to change M10M's format, so I guess all bets are off.

Eh, even in MM there were song crossovers: Klaha's Kioku no Sora live and Ma Cherie, Gackt's Baroque and other live Tetsu-era songs in his indies days. I see two possibilities that could make the situation with M10M go either way: Mana wanting to continue expressing his vision regardless of the vocalist, in which case he'd continue preforming old songs, or Mana being so strict on -how- his vision is expressed that, should the new vocalist not fit into the Juka-songs, he will no longer play them.

I guess it also depends on how long Mana wants to wait until he tours again once he finds a new vocalist--whether he wants to wait until he had another album's worth of new material or just wants to jumpstart with the old material too. We shall see...hopefully sooner rather than later. ;] I'm hoping he finds someone able to execute Juka's songs well but still able to do something different for the future releases.

I think that Mana is quiet crafty, either he continue to get long term and if that he may even use a sinthetic (did I spell that right :? ) voice.

He doesn't strike me as the sort who will watch his band collaps, like Malice Mizer did, I think he likes his money.

Synthetic voice..? Like a Speak and Spell? I.. doubt it.

And Malice Mizer collapsing? They're just on hiatus.

I was thinking more along the lines of useing a computer program to do a techno type thing and from that a voice would sort of emerge. It wouldn't be techno though, still mana's elegant style.

I also think that he may stick behinde the scenes with a computer and his guitar seeing as though he is getting really old.

I don't really think that this apears to be making much sence.

"Dommo Arigato Mr. Robato" Did u get that from Simpsons or Futurearmer. hehehe

Come on, he's almost certainly under 40. Plenty of artists (like Hirasawa) keep performing in the spotlight at 40, 50, and older.

And "Mr. Roboto" is a song by Styx which has a robot voice in it
EDIT: Kazuo beat me to it!

We'll call it a tie Flowers. XD

And Flowers is correct. Hirasawa, and Atsushi Sakurai, two of the older J-rock crew still rock the spotlight hard. I can see Mana doing the same, but with less makeup and with perhaps some sunglasses.

He's already started on the "less makeup" if you ask me. Compare his current look to, say, "Le ciel" or even as recent as "Garnet"...

And yes, he needs sunglasses

I think Flowers knows just what kind of image I have in my head of future Mana.

Oooh. So thats why they say it in the two cartoons because it's something that people who are with it know about.

Thats true, I guess I wasn't really taking into account that many people do continue to preform even at very old ages.

I shall keep on thinking untill I come up with a theory that is possible

In some way, the old songs are Juka's songs to me. But Klaha's version of Kioku to Sora was amazing, and it was an old song, too. So I think it would be interesting to hear the old songs performed by a new vocalist and in an other style....
@navate: where did you hear Gackt's version of Baroque? I never heard of it.

It's some very low quality live mp3 I picked up somewhere...I have no idea where I got it. He totally does not do it justice.

Tetsu: 1, Gackt: 0! XD

He performed it at his first live with Malice Mizer, along with almost every other Tetsu-era song. They kept out most of the live Tetsu songs, though.

It's been bothering me because I mean, I don't know how to hear thier songs without Juka, I just hope they get a worthy follow up.

It's general knowledge then :P

Flowers: Do you know where I could find some pictures of Mana in sunglasses. I wonder if he wears Gackt branded ones :)
