Well, thinking about the OP, it said 'jrock inspired' rather than *necessarily* VK... so... that would give us plenty of scope.
First -- good musicians! Meaning all of them. ^^ I'd like to have 2 guitarists... MUCC only has one and IMO that's one of their strengths (stops their sounds getting too congested), but I'd like to do some guitar harmonies. ^^ Me, I'd rather sing than play guitar, because... well, because I'm better at it >< and have more confidence in my singing. ^^ But I might play guitar for some things...
Second -- some people with good compositional skills. I'm not sure whether I'd like to go down that route of "I compose everything and then the others play it"... Eventually I might become a control freak but hopefully by that time I'll have got famous and can afford to go solo... XD. At the beginning it would be better I think to spread out the responsibility, so to have a bunch of good composers would give us more options, and probably more variety of songs too. ^^
Third -- have to be people who get along well together! ^^ No prima-donna asshole behaviour tolerated! Constructive discussion, not fights!
Fourth -- a strong image. Personally I tend to err on the ero-guro side of things (as a natural style, not consciously), but I think it is ok not to have necessarily a cohesive 'band style', but to be quite experimental and playful, and if each member wants to have their own 'personal image' that works just as well. ^^ It's also good to keep people on their toes, with changes of style - probably related to themes of songs, or groups of songs with a shared theme, that could be treated in costume. This of course would carry over to the 'live show image', which would be treated in a manner like theatre, with group decisions on set to complement the songs. ^^
Fifth -- a good promotions person! ^^
Sixth -- (actually my order is a bit messed up and this should come earlier but I'm not sure exactly where ><) -- an experimental approach, which uses other instruments (e.g. classical or folk instruments) and things which are not instruments, to make sounds, as well as digital samples and programming. However, ideally we should be able to make 'alternative versions' for 'emergency' in live, for instance if some equipment broke, so we could still perform a version without FX. ^^ (Then we can release these other versions later on and make even more money! XD)
Seventh -- a name in mangled French, with random apostrophes sprinkled on it. ^_~
