I'd love to sing . . . but I would butcher his song so bad he would be too scared to come back onto the music scene.

Ok, Elec, now we know what our first project should be, we can cover "Penguin"

If we were to do such a project, would everyone have to choose a different song? I love Penguin, and can do a rather mean harmony to the tune as well (although, I probably lack the software to put both together as a 'duet' track). If I have to choose something else, I want Hekiya no Hate. That's my other favoriite now for singing in the car. :)

How many people are going to sing a song for Klaha? If enough people do it, it might be cool to put together a little tribute CD for him :)

Hmm..I suppose i can work on covering Sayonara. If not, i'll write him a little letter or something.

Doing a trib album is a great idea...^.^ I wish I could sing better, but being a saprano doesn't help much when singing Klaha's music...

I still have to draw the pictures for the project, but since there is no set person to mail to yet...i guess I'm still ok

To Canadian's participating in this:
My friend discovered that Canada Post might go on strike soon. X_X

Hmmm ok. I didn't want to have to decide on my own but since nobody is expressing opinion here's what I think:

Shiyokumm -> I think that it will cost people too much to send the things to you. You live too far for everyone.
AlbireoButterfly -> Again, no offense ^^; I hope you'll post more from now on and take over the 'welcome back' package to Klaha XD
Arison -> Thanks so much. I didn't want to say no but it seems that with the strike on top it's looking risky =\

So I think that Aion sounds like the best person for the job. She lives in the US where most other people live (less postal charges to send the stuff to her and safe as far as we know) and she has had a well known Klaha site for a while now. I think more Klaha fans will be at ease sending stuff to her (if you don't know her site it's klaha.net). So Aion, if you still want to do it, I recommend you.

If anybody feels differently do say so. But we'll have to give the person some time to organise so we should decide soon.

~+~

Now, a few more things. Someone posted on Malice Aftermath a few days ago that she had been to a Klaha signing event last summer and... Klaha doesn't speak English at all *DIES*

Like I have been saying to the people at MA, don't let this put you off in any way from writing something if this is what you really want to do because a)it's the thought that matters and b)he can have somebody read it to him (the girl said that there was an 'assistant' with him at the event who translated everything for her).

But, having said that, maybe more symbolic things would be a better idea with a short message to go with if you wish. So the CD you're all talking about, or jewelry, or other things of that nature sound like better options.

And now the rest is also up to Aion (should she chooses to accept her mission o_o/). We need to figure out how many people will be sending things so we can work out how much money they need to send with for postal charges.

Yes, still very interested, thanks for the recommendation

First off, if anyone has any questions, please email me (camille.e@gmail.com)! Most of you don't know me well and I don't post as often as I should (but I do read here everyday). I love Klaha as much as anyone and want to see everyone's gifts sent off safely :)

Now for the logistics...
As Amasanin said, we need a list of people sending items. I will email my address from there.

Does anyone know how long mail takes to reach the US from other places? Maybe those of you who are familiar w/your countries postal services could make recommendations?

I don't know if the final send off date was decided, but I'll need to check the postal rates/arrival times.

I was thinking that if I recieve more postage than I need, I could PayPal it to Lejun to help with server costs for Scape.

I know there's alot to figure out, so please feel free to suggest things or tell me if something sounds incredibly stupid

If anyone has any objections to me doing this, I'll understand, but I insist on still helping in some way :P

I don't mind at all, it's completely fine. ^^; Though I'd like to know where Edgey's friend heard about it, because I haven't heard anything about a strike. :/

I think a compilation CD would be great; though there would be the problem of getting all the songs together for the CD to be made (unless Aion were to receive multipe CDs, then rip+reburn them onto a new CD. o_O).

Aion and I have exchanged things via snail mail before, so I can personally vouch for her. :)

I should have thought of this sooner, but if you'd like (and have Japanese language support installed on your computer to see the character), I can offer you some simple pat phrases in Japanese that you can cut and paste into the Klaha website form, or copy them onto paper for a note, fanart, whatever.

お大事に [ してください ]

"Please take care of your self" (the part inside the braces is optional, but sounds more polite)

Klahaさんの曲を聞かせていただいてありがとご座いました。

"Thank you very much for giving us your music."

お元気になる様に

"I hope you'll feel better soon."

早くご快復を祈っています

"I'm praying for your swift recovery."

Klahaさんが大好きです

"We love you, Klaha"

Feel free to mix and match. If anyone else wants a message translated, I'll do it, provided you keep it short, say a paragraph or two or less.

Um, just how long have people been trading MP3s over the internet, anyway? Aion has an FTP that she uses for people who want to give her stuff, and she might also be able to take email attachments. I realize the result would be compressed, but...

Thanks for reminding me about my ftp Gwendel! :D I have pretty much unlimited space, so this is a good option. Arison, if I have to I will rip and burn ^^

I'm going to have sit down and write out some details in a minute..

o-o;;;

That is very nice of you :)

But, I think we can find something even more constuctive! Maybe we can start a fund that people can donate small amounts or whatever they can to and we can like... purchase rare stuff off of Yahoo auctions or stuff like that o-o/

Or, you can just keep it for the time spent doing all this o-o;;;;;

I made a little page with all the info here as a quick reference : Project Info. I'll add everything decided here into it, if you have a Klaha site you can link it if you like.

Those of you planning to send things post a reply and please include what you think you will be sending, then I'll email my address. I'll make a list of people and I'll note when I recieve the package, so you can know it arrived.

Those of you wanting to send a CD are going to have to figure out the best way - whether sending me a CD or uploading MP3's to my server. I only know how to burn, not control quality  . Also, maybe we could make a CD cover and label for the music? Is anyone interested?

If you're sending art, but don't have a scanner, I can scan it for you so you will have a copy. I hate giving art away with no copy

Lejun, the rare stuff fund sounds interesting

EDIT:
Email change : camille.e@gmail.com
the old was is having server issues.

If you want to check shipping costs online, here's my info:
city: Frederick postal code:21701

I could sing him a song, but, alas, I have no recording equipment, nor can I just go and see him. I COULD write him a poem, but that's just too... generic for me. I still wish him all the best, though. This is the first I heard of him having health problems. OOKINA GOMEN NASAI, KURAHA-KUN!

If you have emailed me and it wasn't to my gmail account, please send it again. Sorry...

I want to figure out an estimate for shipping costs soon, so if people could post here, pm or email me with what they think they might be sending... Just a vague idea, please? o_O;

Idon'twanttobepushy but Dec. 1st is not very far away x_x

Anyone have any ideas about how to send the music? Anybody want to do a CD cover/label? Should I go ahead? Not do it at all?

I thought we were going to do the send-songfile-by-internet thing?

Aion, I got your email. ^^
I'll make a deadline for myself now, and I'll try to get the stuffs to
you in about a week/week and a half. Though I think I might have
to go earlier than that because I'm not sure how fast mail goes
Southeast USA to your location... :)
