I wonder if Kozi will run into any legal trouible, for putting colour me blood red on a CD, a song that seem to be owned by columbia and was recently put on the singles collection. :-/

seeing as how the promotion is over, and the CD is so incredibly limited, would it still be "wrong" to post links for download?

We've decided not to allow links to the live CD. Would you also post links to "Voice from Inferno"? Didn't think so. I think it's one of those special releases that shouldn't be just randomly put out there.

Anyway: speaking in my official capacity here, it's not permitted.

kozi's not the first artist to force his fans to fall victim to a facless marketing ploy

for mudvayne's last abum, fans who cared enuogh to get it on the day of release were punished when jsut weeks later a special edition came out, with two extra songs and a DVD with misc videos and a "making of" documentary.

audioslave fans who were anticipating the release were punished when a month after release, a special edition including DVD of live perfomances, interviews and music videos, and the CD itsel;f contained extra live tracks.

this is not a new trend atall, unfortunatley :-(

When Lacuna Coil started to get some popularity over here, they re-released their album "Comalies" as a two-disc edition with a bunch of new extra tracks. Luckily, they allowed fans who already had the album to pay only a few dollars more at live shows to get the extra disc and special slipcase. I thought that that was very cool... but I really don't think bands should re-release albums over and over again with new tracks, mixes, videos, etc. Maybe after a long period of time, for the sake of quality and availability insurance... but an album, when it's released, should be complete in that form and shouldn't require more tweaking and adding-on to be finished for marketing later on.

kozi didn't add new stuff...or tweak it...the new releases are exactly the same...except now you can get them at physical stores, not just his website...the live disc is just a present for the fans that buy both or an incentive to get people to buy both and inturn sell more records and then make more money. i didn't like having to buy two new copies of cds i already have and that are still in perfect condition, but i did it because i wanted the live disc. kozi's plan worked. some may see it as sneaky...i see it as good business (and kinda sneaky).

and as for color me blood red...kozi is the original artist...it was being performed by him before they were with columbia...i don't think they can really do anything about it.

You totally rock, just for knowing them. :D (I have that CD, actually. It pwn0rz.)

I had the chance of downloading the live disc, but I really didn't want to. I'm still punching myself for the decision I made when I was ordering the CDs. One of my friends offered to buy me them, I refused, and she said to let her buy at least one. So I said, sure, you can by Khaos/Kinema for me, while I ordered MEMENTO and Catharsis. This was before I knew about the live disc, sadly, or I would have asked for her to buy me MEMENTO (and I probably would have actually GOT the poster for it, too. ._.), but oh well. I've just decided that if I ever see it somewhere for sale, I'm pouncing on it like mad. And even though I said one CD, she insisted and bought me two CDs for The Brilliant Green. >>

I dunno... I really think it's like Voice from the Inferno.

if you dont mind me asking, how do you know Kozi has used color me blood red before joining Columbia?

Because in the Voyage concert they performed the song live, and that was filmed and released under the Midi:Netter label

Big scary boxes with scary bondage girls in them and Kozi in them o_o

And a question about CMBR live: Is that Mana with the very long, straight hair that is dancing with Kozi?

I assume it is, but it just doesn't seem like Mana

The only thing I don't perticularly like about it is the excessive colour and mirror effects they used for the VHS/DVD release. They should have just left it with the normal stage lighting and effects

I had that problem with the majority of the concert, too much experimenting with digital video effects...

The biggest problem I had with the majority of that concert was that they cut out a LOT of the Voyage era stuff, and cut out about half of a lot of the songs. They also played ILLUMINATI and Kioku to Sora at that concert too which I feel should have been on the DVD because there is no retail live that has ANY of memoire on it ;_; (merveilles l'espace had N.p.s N.g.s played at the start which also should have been on that DVD)

Yeesh. That's a lot of editing. Hopefully they'll rerelease it...?

And the Tsuioku No Kakera bit where the glass breaks...cheesier than a cheese sandwich

For those who hasven't seen the concert, it contains the following (on DVD):

Yami no kanata e~ - Not live, but just the intro sequence to the DVD. After it is a little skit with Yu~ki being a vampire, biting Mana, Kami and Kozi trying to kill Yu~ki, then Yu~ki repelling them and flying away

Transylvania - one of the only full length songs

Uruwashiki kamen no shotaijo - the synth in the chorus was great the song ended halfway through

CROIX - A little skit by Yu~ki which involves a mask, and blood capsules

Tsuioku no kakera - great live, but once again cuts halfway

regret - my favourite track on the DVD. It has the normal version of regret but then goes into a cool Gackt/Kami duet

Madrigal - hilarious and adorable live, but cuts halfway -_-

COLOR ME BLOOD RED - amazingly cool stage set and act, sounds a little different from the recorded version and I'm not sure if it's the full version. I don't think it's as long as the recorded version but it wasn't cut anyway.

ma cherie - Not played live. It's the recorded version played over a bunch of clips from the live. A lot of the clips are from the performance of ma cherie but there are few N.p.s N.g.s clips and stuff that looked cool but aren't shown elsewhere.

Zencho - It's not live, just the song played over the credits

The DVD also contains interviews with Mana, Kozi and Yu~ki and:

N.p.s N.g.s - Great, but the sound quality is bad and Gackt mimes a lot of it :/

The actual concert (everything up until Zencho) is less than 30 minutes

yeah i love it for what it is but that release could have been so much more. for under 30 minutes of footage and with so much of the actual concert missing, it's sort of a disappointment. :/

still, what's there is great. if you like voyage that is. ;)

Yea, true. The regret live was what actually stopped me from taking it back ^^;;;; After that I realised how beautiful the live was.

PS. Can someone please delete the first of my double post? I didn't mean it
