^^A young guy making a level-headed, respectable fansite for his favorite esoteric rock band is quite a different ball game from a grandpa making a fanatically-obsessive blog about the latest female pop star.

Yeah, those guys who make websites about their favorite artists are weird. Every last one of them ;)

That reminds me, I recently found that my old nogod fansite is still there. Wow, I haven't made a layout in a long time. I forgot that I was kind of good at it.

But this guy doesn't sound that weird. If I was a wealthy professor, I'd be a collector of random Malice Mizer memorabilia and teaching a class about them. Why the fuck not.

I don't know how you can get THAT obsessed with someone that you've only been into for like a year and a half though.

I don't know if you guys remember that show Fanatic that used to be on MTV, but it used to always irritate me (I don't know why) when these kids would go on there and be like "I'm the biggest Christina Aguilera fan in the world. I've devoted my life to her" and then they meet her and they looked like they were going to lose control of their bowels.

When she had only put out 2 singles at that point.

(Gaga's been around longer than that though, of course. )

With her next album, I will decide whether or not I am over Lady Gaga.

Yeah, pretty much. If her new album actually has good material on it, it might rekindle some interest I once had in her, but otherwise, I'm already over it.

I know this was posted a few months ago buuuuuuuuuuut - I remember watching some MTV show once and there was this girl that got to meet Marylin Manson. Prior to meeting him, he had just finished a gig but had injured himself on stage. During the meeting he was cleaning his cut with paper towels and after the meeting was over the girl stole the bloody paper towels. ::bleh:: ::bleh::

Okay, that's disgusting. I get that people want to get as much DNA from their favorite celebrities as possible, but really, that is sick. I'd have to say though, that it's worse than pre-pubescent girls fighting over Justin Bieber's sweaty towels... ::weepy::

So anyway, to keep on topic, I thought this made for an interesting read:

I think she's right on the money this time. XD

EDITED because I'm stupid. :s

Sooo...what does that link go to??? Every time I click on it, it takes me to the main "Posted" page.

And that video that says Gaga ripped off Malice Mizer, I found that piece of music from the beginning of Bad Romance. It's Fugue in B minor for WTC, by Bach. The music for BoB isn't the same, but I don't know if it's something MM wrote or is a sample of Bach.

She made so much drama for just this. :P I mean, she could have released a snippet of her new single.

^^^^and alot of her fans will have a huge hissy fit.....again. It was amazing how Lady Gaga went from idol to a "bitch who can never keep her promises, I'm no longer a fan anymore" just because they had the wrong information about the video release date. (Her fan forums turn nasty when they don't get stuff when they want it, ::shifty::).

At least the album and single are abit of time away which means maybe the press will be quiet Gaga wise.....then I'm sure they've already moved onto the next 'big thing' (Bieber or whoever is popular).

It's partly her fault because she hypes this album so much.... But she knows the price she will pay, specially regarding critics, because she even said this would be the album of the decade. I love her, but i also don't like when she does this kind of stuff. I think She'd better keep her mouth shut sometimes for her own sake., it only hurts her. A lot of fans are mad with her, i don't blame them, she has been hyping this forever, and when there is this huge announcement there is only 2 dates, 1 wich delays the album to May, and a picture. I was disappointed, not as much as these people, still i understand them.

But these fans reacted in a way that they felt they owned her and she had to supply to them what they wanted.

Any artist hyping their CD is annoying, as it usually turns out the album doesn't reach the expectations the artist has given it (then I've always had a 'expect nothing and you won't be disappointed' attitude to new releases and artists have their own attitudes toward their releases). I remember alot of fans hated Fame Monster so taste is subjective.

I thought she'd do a video teaser for the single like with the Alejandro video.
I'm suprised the album is being released in May though as I thought she mentioned it be recorded Mid-last year.

Loads of artists do that, it's only natural that she hype up her own music.

And it probably will be the album of the decade (i.e. 2011 - 2020), at least in terms of sales.
