i got a whole lot of these orange and green slips while i was in japan...i'm just curious how they work...and what exactly they do..

I'm not totally sure, but they must be somewhat really valuable. I've seen people selling them off on Japanese auction sites for half their face value.

I *think* they are like cash dude. If you go back to each individual store you got them from, you can use them as cash equivelent, I believe if you a) spend over a certain amount and b) use them before they expire.

Kind of like the 'points' system at all the online stores...

I got quite a fe myself but I never redeemed them.
