no one actually made a question about his music? like what will the next m10m release will be like or something. ::bleh::

Nothing about when the next release will be. They did ask (to put it simply) "why did you change from gothic metal to industrial-type music?" - a question I didn't really understand, cause he's certainly not industrial. :|
Mana: "I'm not changing styles, I'm just expanding the same theme into different sounds." okay!!!

There was also "who is your biggest (or maybe it was 'favorite') musical influence?". Bach.

The answer to the marriage question was something like "I'm happy you feel that way, but please let me return the feelings through my music". I can't really remember properly; I wish I'd brought an audio recorder.

Oh, and one more thing:
You could totally hear his whispering. There were a bunch of mics there, so they picked up his whispers. Not that they were intelligible, but I could still hear it. ::meev::

Shut down! ::gaku::

Thanks for the report. I'm kinda angry he went to an anime con (and that I couldn't go) but hearing that he is working hard to come to the US as soon as he can makes me happy. :D

He even sweetly turns down marriage offers ::meev::
But omg what's with these fangirls? ::cam::

And thanks~! I'd love reading more reports <3

That aside, I'm definetely looking forward for his US tour. I must go, and make sacrifices XD;; I think I would've been more scared in a con that a concert o_o;; (fans)

Contrary to what the session info said, he was NOT signing only official Midi:nette products. There was a booth in the dealer's hall that was selling enlarged photos from the GLB's and various VK magazines at $10 each. This totally pissed me off. It pissed me off even more when I saw people standing in line, and then getting them autographed. What was going through Mana's head, I wonder, when he sees all these bootleg pictures coming through.
I wonder what was going through his head when he had to sign this:

ROFLMAO XD

Is this yours...!? XD

And well...about the Anime Con thing, somehow it's a bit stupid. No one asked the question maybe Mana hoped for or expectet (I don't know, but It seems like when I'm reading through the pages), but well, my questions wouldnt be that better:

"Juka...<3?"

Okay, not really, but I would ask questions who he really likes to answer, maybe something about Moi Meme Moite or something.
Bah, I hate my english skills, sry.

Mana was a class act as always, but he shouldn't have had to go through with that. -_-

Agreed.

I'm happy that he did that for his fans... it must have been a lot of trouble to get going, but he did it for the sake of those who wanted to see him.
However, I'm upset that his fans didn't act maturely & for the most part, the fangirls didn't really respect him & acted in such a fangirlish manner.

It was an Anime expo. I'm not surprised.

Not happy either, but. :| I just hope he wasn't too put off by it.

Most definitely NOT!!! ::meev:: I wasn't even there...

I think people should try and begin to see J-Rockers as real people, not as characters in a fanfiction.

This kind of crap doesn't just happen with jrockers though. It's nothing new and has been going on for years with fangirls/boys. Regardless of what band you are you'll always have crazy fans that want to "marry" the "hot one", etc.

Anyway it's an anime con, I'm not surprised at all from the reactions of some of the "fans".

Same here... because there are some non-scary fans in North America that would LOVE to see him, that wont ask him questions regarding aspects of his life that everyone already knows are false.

I agree with Geisha, Mana's a real person... not some Fanfiction character.

 Oh wow. Just... wow. I feel so deeply sorry for Mana. I wouldn't blame him if he ran away and never came back.

I have an unfounded feeling however that Mana knows that those fans that accosted him with marriage/sexuality questions and the like are crazies and not normal fans. Everyone knows that there's two types that go to anime conventions: normals (the minority) and crazies (the majority). I think Mana knows that you get some of the weirder and more obsessed fans at conventions and other interactive events like that, and that they're going to be the ones that are more vocal. The good fans are the ones who're polite, and thus, unfortunately, get lost in the shuffle. Years in the biz with countless mmm handshake dealies should make Mana know that. Or at least... I hope he knows that. :/

I'm sure Mana's dealt with crazy fans in Japan as well, and I'm also sure he's heard worse questions than "Will you marry me?" directed at him. ;)

Second, I don't condone fangirlism, but comments like "Will you marry me?" sure beat derogatory comments many westerners make about A) being Japanese, B) being a man in a dress in heavy makeup, and C) his rumored egocentricism, if you ask me :|

Anime cons are infamous for being stupid in Japan as well (when I signed up for my exchange program, they actually asked me "Are you going just for the anime? Because Japanese people frown on that."), so hopefully he understands that an Anime convention doesn't represent the all of America.

I just hope people behave at the concerts! ::shifty::

It's so sad that they actually have to ask that question.

I just really hope everyone else is right in that he's used to these weird/scary questions, and hope like everyone else that this experience doesnt put him off

Oh, poor Mana, even with whispering people hear his voice. ^^
Btw: You ask him question which a translator translates, then he whispers to the translator who translate it back and said his answer?
Or is he good enough in English that he understand the questions in English and just answer?

^^ The marriagequestionanswer was really polite.

@Geisha
Ou, which Fan dare to let him sign this?
I am really interessted to what was in his head...Yaoiheart and Gacktheart?

Na, I don't think Mana wouldn't do a tour just because of some fangirlish behaving Fans. He has such Fans everywhere and I am sure he knows that there are not only Fans like this in America.
He will come, be sure. =)

He had a translator who translated the questions for him, then he whispered to her and she translated his answers back. There was someone who asked "Parlez-vous Francais?", to which he replied "It's a little rusty, so it's best for the questions to be translated into Japanese for me". ::meev:: Rusty is a good way to put it. ::shifty::

I still have no idea who sponsored this visit, or if he even had a sponsor at all. I didn't see any signs saying anything either way, but the Broccoli booth (an anime company most famous for Digi Charat) had MDM CDs and goods as well as Matin goods. When someone asked if he was considering opening a Moi-meme-Moitie in the US, the translator said "The Broccoli booth in the exhibit hall has some products"; this leads me to believe that Broccoli had a hand in bringing him over. On the other hand, if they had had something to do with it, I think they would have undoubtably been tooting their horn about it. Thoughts?
