I think it's safe to say that Mana has phased the crossdressing out of his image, but does anyone think he's going to take it a step further?

Earlier in Moi Dix Mois he still did a crossdressing thing, but it seems like he's getting more masculine little by little. In fact, I don't even think I view him as being feminine at all anymore.

Personally, I think it would be awesome to see a manly Mana. I have a couple pictures of him dressed as a man, but I'd like to see more.

I do not think Mana will ever fall out of his image. His image has evolved from feminine to more androgynous but I don't see him ever being "manly".

And that image you linked is actually from the Gothic Lolita Bibles, in which he still crosses dresses completely when modelling the EGL line of Moi-meme-Moite. Yet another aspect of his personality I do not think will go away.

Hmmm... I thought that picture was from the Forbidden tour booklet?

Anyway. There's no two ways about it, Mana is still feminine. His makeup and outfits have the attributes of a woman's, thus he still gets to keep the 'feminine' badge. When he grows some facial hair I will call him manly.

Well, I'm agree with Navate. Mana is more androgynous, but sometime, particularly in Gothic Lolita Bible shots, he is still very feminine (for example in the last number there is a photo of Mana with a blond wig in which he seemed a beautiful girl), as in Malice Mizer times.
I don't think we'll see Mana completely manly in future, but only Mana can solve this question.

even when he does the more masculine look during moi dix mois lives he still wears a semi skirt thing....

When he grows some facial hair I will call him manly.
that is a really weird image...

I'm thinking too he's more androgynous now than before..

but I still hope to see him one day in real life with a dress.... ;o;
I'm sur that the felings to meet him in dress would change than when I meet him in.. "normal Moi dix Mois way" ..
I mean.... no I can't explain but.. I 'm sur I will not feel the same think, maybe more impressionate.. or somethink near..

Oh, is it? My mistake. I've never seen the entirety of the Forbidden Tour booklet so I didn't know which photos were in it.

I have seen early Moi dix Mois live photos where he wears Lolita M-m-M clothing, but that was at the very start of Moi dix Mois. He's embraced the more masculine image as his stage persona since.

I think that the recent pictures of the tour 2006 Mana *really* looks masculine, I was thinking about this too.

I don't really think of Mana as more feminine or masculine. To me, he's just... Mana. It's just the way he is.

I have always thought Mana as masculine, in M10M anyway. In MM I thought of him as feminine.

It's funny how we talk about Mana "dressed as a man"

Erm... Actually I think the so called feminine clothes have always only been for his stage character and Moitié. I think the "real" Mana is what we see more nowadays, the more masculine one. Since it's now his solo work, I bet he doesn't want to dress up as anything anymore, but be his pure self. I might be wrong, though.

i'm sure that's wrong...he has talked about how he likes to emulate both genders and when he dresses up like a young girl he is "transformed" into the image he portrays.

He said that he wore dresses off stage to be consistent and that his music became more feminine, so he started dressing more feminine....

which picture are you talking about? I thought it was a picture from Nocturnal Romance/Opera booklet...

anyway.. I agree with manly thing.. Altough he still does his appearences in Gothic & Lolita bibles, he is more androgyn than ever, and you can say that when you analyze the pictures from G&L Bible 20 as this one..
I don't know.. but he is awesome as he always been.

Don't even speak of such things! EEEEVVIIIILLLLLL!!!!

My mother is convinced he has the inability to grow facial hair. It comforts me at night. lol

Anyway. I do agree that he is definatly more 'manly', but to 'normal' people, he is probably still very very much a girl. I mean, honestly. I was showing my friend Trin some more recent M10M pictures of him I had printed out, and my art teacher came up behind me and was like "ooh... that girl is really scary."

The day I see him in baggy jean shorts and a tee shirt will be the day I die. I don't know if it would be from laughter, or extreme horror.

I would pay $$$$$$$ to see Mana with facial hair (even though I can do it in photoshop) Maybe he has had that laser treatment thingy ::meev::

and i'd pay that much to make sure he never grows facial hair, as I'm sure i'll go blind from horror... and I would hate for that to be the last thing i'd see. XD

As for the baggy jeans and t-shirt.. I wonder how he walks around his house dressed up in... :P we never know.
