Interesting, interesting. Looks like it's a re-recording of the old Meties tunes by the original members. Not sure if he's saying "Necrophilia" is a new song or not.

The cover is stupid but I'm preordering it anyway.

Absolutely. It's like they didn't want to pay for copyright and went to christon cafe and took a picture of the baccarat. They should've put something nicer like a butterfly or a plain color with some photoshop brushes.

And of course! one must be an insolent for not preordering this. I just hope it doesn't come as poorly produced as Kaya's lastest singles.

And I totally forgot to put the cdjapan link, edited the main post already. :D

As much as I hate saying this, I think the cover is pretty much Kaya's doing, kinda reminded me of the Kaya remix Vol. 1's awesome cover... XD
I would preorder it if I were back home, but since I'm in Japan, I might as well go to a shop and buy it, right? XD

@flowersofnight Necrophilia's supposed to be a new song, but I bet it's a lost demo or something like that.

Nothing more frightening than popping your new Meties CD and seeing that the information of the CD is about a band named Adekola Sound with their awesome new single "October", even the names of the songs are all different lol.
But false alarm, it's Kaya's heavenly voice I'm hearing, yay!

PD: I hate iTunes' Gracenote xDD

FINALLY got in my copy ::kisaki::

I dunno though, I'm not sure the re-recorded versions are, you know, better. Kaya's vocals are definitely more skilled than when he was 12 (or whatever XD) but the rawer demos had a certain charm to them. Be that as it may, the old visual spirits are still there, so I don't disapprove per se. I only disapprove of the twinkly synth SFX they added to "RECUR" XD The new song "Necrophilia" isn't bad either. Sort of an old school Dir en grey angry kind of song, Kaya-style.
Overall "RECUR" is the best track, but that's because it was the best of the original songs to begin with. As far as the vocals and musicianship and production on the disc, it's all up to par.

So yeah, Meties: I'm for it.

I also got my copy some days ago, but was so lazy and of course with loads of final works I didn't have the time.

I understand what Flowers means. Knowing Meties as a garage band makes it more, you know, indie and underground than a more produced work. Still, they were able to leave the indie, old visual atmosphere in the recording.

The sound quality of course is very good. I liked the MIND track very much, it turns on the spirits, savage and the guitar is so cool. Recur of course is my favorite, kaya made a great job singing and the other guys a perfect job with their instruments. No varies from the old version, just sound quality, for what I can listen and understand.

Gekitsuu no sora, mmmm, listeneable, and enjoyable in some time intervals. Necrophilia, hmmmm, It's a gazette vidoll ayabie indie visual kei - like song. I always say, when I'm writting about non electronic music stuff, that I'm very into electronic, so I can't say it's bad or not, just heavier for my taste. It's listenable also in some occations.

Well, Recur to mind is a very good job from the tokushima guys, well recorded, nice sound, nice quality, no overworked, giving the original old indie visual Meties feeling. I liked it.
