I'm suffering from a terrible laziness, but I'll try to recollect some of the funniest moments between Hora and Kaya (why don't I ever write down anything after the live?). They didn't talk much between the songs because most of the talk was reserved for the so-called after-event, where you could actually submit questions to them (which I rarely do, because I'm afraid of making a mistake in Japanese, thus revealing that it was me, the gaijin, who asked that stupid question).
Correct and correct. Well, he didn't exactly say fundoshi, but he said he wears men's underwear, unlike Hizaki (!) who apparently wears women's underwear when cross-dressing (Kaya is well-informed!). Hora said he doesn't wear any underwear (a lie, obviously), but that he would like to know what the fans are all wearing, but Kaya told him to stop the sekuhara.
Hora DID NOT reveal the number of sneakers in his possession (this was actually my question). He told that he hasn't counted them, also that he hasn't bought that many recently (which I find hard to believe). Kaya asked if it's around hundred, but Hora said it's nowhere near as many. In the end, he said he only has two pairs – the ones he is wearing (he was wearing his regular platform boots) and that one pair at home. I also asked about his favorite sneaker models – which are Foamposite (I didn't pay enough attention to catch if he specified which Foamposites...) and Ndestrukt.
They also discussed their "new looks". Personally, I found Kaya's outfit even more impressive in real life than on photos (this is possibly my favorite Schwarz Stein-Kaya's look). Hora declared that he sewed that outfit and complained what a terrible chore it was. Kaya scolded him for being able to lie with such a calm face XD Of course, Hora's new "fabric" also came up. Kaya told that there was actually money for Hora's costume in the budget, but apparently, Hora was not interested in getting a new costume! I have no idea what's with that? Like, it seems to be his policy to dress in as simple clothing as possible? Hora said that he's "not a narcissist", but I think in the end, he really didn't give any coherent explanation about his refusal of a new outfit (I am imagining a tragic love story between him and that previous costume-designer of his, Satoko Shimizu).
Oh yeah, someone asked which celebrity Hora looks like without make-up. Hora said that he's a complete lookalike to Kaya and that, in fact, he often gets mistaken for Kaya (he said it with dead serious face, while Kaya was protesting that they look nothing alike). As Hora apparently was not in the mood of answering any question seriously, Kaya tried to come up with an answer but couldn't find anyone who's similar to Hora. But he did say Hora looks "kakkoii" (maybe he even said ikemen, but that might be my imagination XD). Hora said that he looks "like hell" without make-up. Go figure.
I don't remember the next question, but Hora told something... erm, about how he likes to bury his face into the fluffy bosom of his cat and to listen to their heartbeat and "feel their life". Or something like that XD This was so weird (but cute!) that even Kaya looked at him a bit concerned and asked him if he was tired. But I think it was the only time that he actually didn't fool around. Nope, that he really meant.
As always, when Hora sells his solo works at the live venue, he told everyone to make sure to buy at least one copy of his new album. ("It is your mission. The time has come [for you to buy my new album]".) As a loyal apprentice, I had already preordered it, of course.
It was not even at the after-event, but in between the songs that someone from the audience (not me) shouted to Hora: "How was Hawaii?" XD Hora was a bit hesitant, like – is it really OK to talk about it here? – but then he promptly proceeded to praise the awesomeness of Hawaii. As expected, he proposed (as he has done before) to have the next Schwarz Stein tour in Hawaii ("Everyone, get a tan!"). All the white-faced gothic chicks looked most uninterested.
For me, one of the highlights of the after-event was "Sodomy" – performed together with Hora! This is one of my favorite Kaya solo songs and it was awesome to see the author of the song together on stage with Kaya
OK, I can't recall anything more (also, I'm getting old and want to go to sleep XD). I hope everyone has ordered their copy of both SS and Hora's new album ("It is your mission.") Looking forward to what everyone thinks of the new material.
Fundoshi.
I'm calling it right now, there's no way Hora admitted to the full extent of his sneaker hoarding
