Out of the two, which do you prefer?

I love both versions...but i like more Tetsu`s one... it has a lot of emotion.

I think that's the translated version of the name - I just coped it from the lyrics page. Nonetheless, I'm going with Tetsu's version.

Well, Malice Mizer remade the song on the Merveilles album. Track six, to be exact. Not exactly the same lyrics, however it pretty much has the same guitar riffs and such. The original is track three on the Memoire DX album.

I love both for their own reasons. The tempo for Tetsu's version is a little faster so it makes it more upbeat but I love the sound of Aegen; it has a sad, mysteriousness to it.

Tetsu's version is easily one of my favorite Malice Mizer songs. I agree that it's very emotional...and I love Tetsu's lyrics as always. Don't get me wrong, I like Gackt's version as well, but it's never stood out as much as Tetsu's to me.

I must say i absolutely love both versions of the song but Tetsu version is better in my opinion. I personally think Gackt is a better singer but Tetsu has been given a special place in my heart in recent times. Plus his version seems to have so much more emotion than Gackt's

i agree with shinzo in that tetsu has more feeling. gackt is an excellent singer and has feeling, no doubt, but you feel it more when you see his lives. in the recordings it's just not there... tetsu always puts his entire heart and soul into his singing.

I think its beacuse Tetsu has a more rawer and unclean voice than Gackt, Gackt comes off as "perfect" and while in MM his emotion was prehaps mulduled too much. Au reviour was brillant song full of emotion though (and i even mean the recording) The thing i mostly found with Gackt in Malice Mizer is that the songs that he actually made himslef he sings much better (I'm still undecided about Ma Cherie as i absoultely love Gackt's version more so than Tetsu's)

Tetsu's Vault of heaven makes me cry toan extent and actually sing my heart out with Tetsu as he belts out his engrish prenounciations of Autumn etc.

I like Tetsu's better. It's the one song on Merveilles that doesn't fit for me. Every time it starts up, I expect Tetsu to start singing...
