amm... So, we were going somewhere with some friends of mine, when one of them stopped for a moment to check a bookstore's window and she was like.. "WTF! MANA!"

BUJDA-J_Porosz_menyasszooc.jpg

o_____O"
It is the cover of the Hungarian edition of some short stories by a Russian writer called Jurij Bujda (I've never heard of him either). To add some extra fun to the whole thing, the title means... 'The Prussian Bride' ummm.. like..... lol? O_o"
Someone was either very ignorant and used a random image he found online or was trying to be very funny (probably the first..). Either way it is the wtf of the month.

oh, and no, before someone starts to doubt this.. it's ain't no fake, it's for realz:

HOLY FUCK. I love it. I'm going to buy it. I'd send a copy to Mana, but he might go after someone for copyright infringement or something, and that wouldn't be very fun at all.

Where've you been anyway, man?

edit: my lack of knowledge of the Hungarian language hurts right now. Plus I don't know what the hell form of currency "ft" is.
edit again: Oh, here we go. It's only like $12. I'm going to look for a Hungarian bookshop around here and see if they have it.

Apparently not. Isn't it illegal to use a celebrity's likeness without their knowledge or using art/photos without their copyright owner's knowledge? Seriously, if Mana doesn't know, it might be illegal.

Still, it is funny. Mana the Prussian bride. *snorts*

Mana could make some money if he/she wins this case/suit!

AND USE THE MONEY TO COME TO AMERICA!!!!!!!!! OMGO MGO OMGOMGOMGOMOMOGO LETS ALL GROUP EMAIL MANA AND TELL HIM TO SUE ::dix::

It's a real book? If you read it, there should be some kind of credits to mana in there if it's legally in there.

We should contact the author. Anyone know how to say "that's a guy" in Russian? XD I'm assuming he'd be a bit surprised, seeing as the book has "bride" in the title.

Mana doesn't resemble a Prussian bride to me. I wonder how the story of the book goes then XD

i think someone should let mana know indeed... it might get those people in trouble with legal stuff but mana has the right to know. so if no one else has done it yet, i think i'll send an email to midi nette when i get back tonight.

Prussian is not Russian. Granted, in territory they were/are rather close (and a part of the former East Prussia now lies within the Russian Federation), but...

Prussian is German.

Prussia was one of the many, many territories/kingdoms/etc that helped to comprise Germany after its unification in 1871.

The Hungarian currency is the forint.

And that is indeed the WTF of the month.

So in a few weeks this book shall become an extreme collector item. :D Like coins with two 'tails' or 'heads' sides, and those strange, unique Bibles Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman spoke about in "Good Omens" :p
