A bit too cutesy than what I'm used to, but it's mildly interesting. And I need something new to play these days, so . . .

Speaking of video games, the Tokyo Game Show just started. ::k::

errgh, pretty shite show thus far to be honest. Usually at conventions I get excited about something new ad wonderful, but besides Yakuza 4 (which was known about before TGS ) there's not much new interesting news coming out right at the moment.

What I have enjoyed though is seeing some new trailers of FF XIV, The Last Guardian, No More Heroes and Tatsunoko vs Capcom. But damn, some new game announcements would totally kick ass.

Was hoping for info on Project S.
Nothing exciting so far except for finding out about Shinobu as a playable character in NMH2 and maybe the BB update but Tsubaki was a big wth for me.

Has anyone ever played the .hack games? For some reason, the idea of a simulated computer game as a video game really appeals to me. :| Or maybe it's just the 'getting email on a video game' part that amuses me. Anyway, I've never been able to get my hands on any of the parts, and was wondering if anyone has played them and what you think!

Still Persona 3. Game made me cry twice so far *shakes fist*

Tried playing Final Fantasy Dissidia and... I really didn't like it. :/

Played the first one (infection). It was a lot of fun if you're into grinding, but there's no reason it had to be split up on four disks. Play it if you can get them all for cheap. Heard the newer games are pretty sick though.

Thanks for the input- this is reassuring that I've not been lusting over a lack-luster game all these years. ::meev:: And I'm sure it was out on 4 disks because in true .hack fashion it has to be drawn out into incomprehension. ::meev:: I sort of suck at video games- Spyro is the height of my video game enjoyment and I get sad when they keep making it harder and harder to play. ::hora:: So yeah, .hack didn't look that bad and looked like it was based more on strategy than anything. I've not looked too hard into reviews, though, because I didn't want to spoil the plot or anything.

I've only played parts 1 and 3, but it's just like what Einherjer mentioned before about game grinding. I must admit, I always got giddy whenever I got a new email when playing because I need to know that the NPC's must like me. ::meev:: And it also opens up certain character sidequests and such. Another thing I liked was opening up extras, such as character wallpaper for your navi screen.

It's actually pretty good. I normally hate mission based games too.
