I was suddenly just struck with this really strong curiosity (sorry to rip off your thread, Kazuo) what else is everyone else here listening to?

I guess I don't really listen to much else and I'd really like to diversify my winamp playlist, but I just can't seem to find a gateway to any good western music. Anway, digging through my old CDs, I've found that bands I still like are (in no particular order)

1)Garbage
2)Evanesence
3)matchbox twenty
4)Radiohead
5)Soundgarden

EDIT: Pffft... silly me forget to consider Sarah Brightman and Loreena Mckennit while making out that list, oh well

five just seemed like the general friendly number around here, but there's no strict rules, I suppose it's alright to go over if you can't decide ;)

In no order:

Rush (In means of musical insturment skills, one of the most talented bands EVER. Geddy Lee: One of my favorite bassists, don't think anyone else could play the stuff he does and sing at the same time. Neil Peart: Defiantly my favorite drummer. Most amazing. Alex Lifeson: Great guitar work. <3)

Primus (Les Claypools bass playing is orgasmic. Tim Alexander is a cool drummer too. Love their whacky bass driven music. <3)

Nightwish (One of my first ventures into the metal genre. Love Tarja's voice. <3)

Atmosphere (Love Slug, great rapper. Love his rhymes. Love Ant's beats. Underground rap. <3 Puts on a fun live show)

The Vandals (Funny, catchy, punk music. They put on a very entertaining, funny, live show. Very nice guys.)

Misfits (Danzig-era Misfits was the best, but I don't mind Graves, or even Jerry Only singing. Tho Jerry is a jack ass, I still love the music. Danzig had a great voice. Simple, catchy, songs with b movie plots.)

ah ! bien, trèèès bien ! ^^

I really can't choose only 5 groups, so let's say this is what I've been listening to this week. :)

Enslavement of Beauty (to wake up in the morning ~_^)
Apocalyptica
Mylene Farmer
"Chicago" (I absolutely love the movie and the music is really great)
"classical" music (Liszt, Fauré, gregorian chant...)

but once again, it changes almost everyday, I couldn't live without music and I can't choose just one or two things in my playlist.

@_@ I love Liszt. When I'm in my dad's car I usually listen to the classical station on the radio :3 I've been really influenced by classical music since I've been taking lessons since like....hm...10 years ago XD
