I'd say it always depends on the person, so it's hard to say...

A mid-40 man, wearing casual style should neither wear baggies, nor tight pants. Just right to fit. A bit loose around the leg, but not that much that his legs would fit a second time.

For people with an extraordinary style, I prefer tight pants. Not squeezing the *magnum* or anything else out of it, though.
The pants Kirito is wearing are nice.

Sometimes - for punk and cyber - also wide pants look good. (no baggies)

3/4 is kinda awkward...

Shorts...when it fits the style it can be nice.
