There's only so many things I can add to the poll, but here's what I would like to do:
- Set aside 90% of it in various savings accounts and live off the interest that accumulates every year.
- With the other 10% I'd splurge on trips to Japan and Egypt, pay off debts and tuition, buy a new car that won't explode at any minute like I know my current car is bound to do. :/
I'll eventually put some of the money I've got saved up back into my state's main scholarship fund, which is getting me through my undergrad years. And later on when I'm out of school and have a bunch of research and work experience, I'll sponsor several students through their studies in related fields. Hopefully I won't have to dip into the lottery fund to do that, but it's still an option.
I will not, however, drop everything and join a band. Or hunt for rare fungi. Or become a game developer. As much as I like those ideas, I can't see them as reasonable alternatives to what I'm currently doing.
Edit: Oh! I would also buy a yacht.
