What would you do if you won x million dollars?

Well? You're several million bucks richer. What would you do immediately/with most of it?

There's only so many things I can add to the poll, but here's what I would like to do:

- Set aside 90% of it in various savings accounts and live off the interest that accumulates every year.
- With the other 10% I'd splurge on trips to Japan and Egypt, pay off debts and tuition, buy a new car that won't explode at any minute like I know my current car is bound to do. :/

I'll eventually put some of the money I've got saved up back into my state's main scholarship fund, which is getting me through my undergrad years. And later on when I'm out of school and have a bunch of research and work experience, I'll sponsor several students through their studies in related fields. Hopefully I won't have to dip into the lottery fund to do that, but it's still an option.

I will not, however, drop everything and join a band. Or hunt for rare fungi. Or become a game developer. As much as I like those ideas, I can't see them as reasonable alternatives to what I'm currently doing.

Edit: Oh! I would also buy a yacht.

Spend a bunch; save a reasonable amount.
I'd buy a lot of albums, all the out of print expensive imports I've wanted. I'd buy some more musical instruments and pay for lessons. And finally, some education related things.

I'd probably save most of it and then spend XD
But first it would go to my college tuition ::batsu:: Then I'd donate a lot of it, but still have enough for myself.

After that, I'd travel the world.

I'd set aside enough for school and a future home, and then I'd spend on stuff that keeps its value like artworks and stuff like that, and then I'd put the rest into savings.

Invest half, use the other half to buy a house, DDR machine, and and my dream guitar rig.

"Save a bunch, spend reasonably."

I would buy a new car for sure, mine is fairly old but I won't go off buying something like a Ferrari or Porsche.

A good deal of it I would put into savings accounts in a bank or credit union that doesn't suck. I wouldn't really change much about my life style, I'd buy a bunch of crap like CDs, clothes and other little doodads. I'd continue to work and probably go back to school too.

Why not just buy a yacht? Maintenance fees are pretty brutal, but if you wanna retire from society you can purchase a small private island, too, and live on the seas. ::squee:: *dreams*

OMG, if I ever get that amount of money, I'm going to get an island and name it Atlantis, and have pirates live there! It'll be paradise~

I forgot about buying a house XD I guess I'll do that too with the money XD (it'll have to be gigantic)

Then I'll invest the rest of my money into my wedding ::meev:: ::meev:: ::meev::

I would save a lot towards my schooling/residence. I'd also pay off the debt I already have from said schooling.

I'd pay my parents back for helping me during the first year of my college,
and I'd also help a couple of my friends out, as well. I know they are struggling with being able to afford the program.

I'd also donate money to some charities and such, and of course buy a crapload of CDs.

edit: Oh also, travel. :P

I would definitely help out one friend of mine! He is a hard working loyal person but has been struggling to find good work. He would defiantly not take it for granted!

Buy my own country. Then I can make the rules and it would be the perfect society! ::k:: Even if it cost every bit of money I won, it would be worth it.

I would save half or a reasonable amount at least...

- First though I would finish my AS-Levels at School. Then I would book tickets to Japan around the time of some special events or music gigs so that myself and my friends could enjoy it to the fullest.

- I would still like to get my qualifications and go through university, luckily it means I won't be paying off my student loans though.

- With all this lovely lovely money I would love to try launch my own music project and if that failed/lost all my money then I would still have my GCSE's, AS-Levels, B-Tech and University qualifications =]

Here's what I would do:

Pay off my debt, invest wisely, buy a nice home (not a mansion, but a nice home on a good bit of land), a new car, and travel the world.

I would also start my own professional cosmetic line, and specialize in special effects and theatrical work (like RCMA, Cinema Secrets, Joe Blasco, etc.)

As much as I wanna go to college, i'd quit school all together.
It's turned me into an emotional stress-consumed wreck.

I'd buy myself a ticket to japan and blow it all there, maybe buy a house there, etc.

Then maybe i'd go back to school.

I'd pay off my undergrad debt, transfer into Wharton for my MBA/ART degree, get lipo, help out some friends at whimsy, go to Japan and Italy/France and do funky stuff for a month or so...

And maybe, maybe, quit one of my jobs. The rest goes into savings.
