Where do you think the chicken came from that laid the egg to begin with? Okay, I feel like getting techinical, so: for the full evolution into a chicken, little things changed over time, right? So for the little thing to come to be that would make it a chicken, the mother would be different from the slightly evolved chick. Thus, the egg came first.
