You know, it has to be the chicken no matter if you go with creationism or the theory of evolution (for the record, I find the theory of evolution to be the most plausible)
The question says "what came first, the chicken or the egg?". We could assume that it's asking any kind of egg, or we could assume that it's asking a chicken egg. I would guess that it means "what came first, the chicken or the chicken's egg".
Some sort of earlier animal (I'll just call it a pre-chicken) laid an egg that grew into the world's first actual chicken. This egg, which came before the actual chicken, is not a chicken's egg though. So a prechicken laid a prechicken egg and gave birth to a chicken. The chicken later laid a chicken egg. Therefore the chicken came before the chicken egg did. lol, I don't know if you can follow that or not. Maybe I should rephrase it.

It isn't a factor of the prechicken being a real chicken or not. The egg wasn't some prechicken who magically morphed into a present-day chicken once it hatched. You're whole proof that the chicken came first is only proving that the egg was, in fact, the begining of it because *that's* where the chicken came from to begin with.

oh, and I'd go for the albino rattlesnake, since it's hard to decide on the egg or the chicken first.. That type of thing confuses me.. ^_^;;
