I just started getting some songs by them and Im considering buying that release they had in the US with the cd and DVD. Im thinking about it.

I kind of figured they would be like the sounds of Hair Bands, or 80's metal, same thing, but I happen to like that type of music somewhat. But I like their stuff, some of it. They are really good, the stuff I have heard so far anyways. And when they have solo's Im glad they arent like 2 minutes long, I hate real long solo's.

But what Im most suprised about is Hide's english. Its outstanding. He barely has an accent and ponounces the words VERY well. It really suprised me.

hide is the guitarist not vocalist in x japan, i think you meant toshi... but yes, his english is very good. especially when watching the last live i was impressed, as you can tell he's improved a lot since say, blue blood. (kurenai for example...)

o.o;; where exactly are you getting your information from??? x japan ended in 1997 when toshi quit the band for "artistic and spiritual" reasons. he had a short lived solo career...and i have no idea what he's doing now. but i'm totally sure he's not dead, lol.

what you might have heard was about hide... hide had a very successful solo career after (and during) x japan but sadly committed suicide by hanging himself in may 1998.

Hmm... That info is slightly wrong. No one knows if it was a suicide or not, but if it was, he was drunk at the time so it was probably accidental.

Goes to show what alcohol does to you....

of course no one knows exactly what happened besides the circumstances. he was intoxicated at time and some claim he was practicing a suicide scene that had been planned for an upcoming concert. there are theories and everything...believe what you wish, but let's not be naive. it was a suicide, accidental or not. there's no evidence that points to anything else.

pretty much... i guess if you could call it either a "suicide" or an "accident" if you want, but saying it's not a suicide is a bit odd to me... it's not like someone else killed him. that's all i'm saying. you can debate these things but only to a certain point.

Well, technically it would be suicide, but it wouldnt have been meant to. You can kill youself accidentally. Say you were like on pain medicine that made you real tired and everything and you fell down the stairs or something and died. That could be counted the same way.

I think if you fall down the stairs and die...it's called something like a "tragic accident". But actually hanging yourself or something of that nature, it would be called "suicide" regardless if you were drunk or not.

Say you wanted to kill yourself and you got everything ready and then got in the noose... and before you jumped you were having second thoughts. Just then your stupid dog comes running in chasing after that damned cat, knocks over the chair before you could loosen it and there you have it. Accidental suicide!
