Ok I wanted to ask you guys if you have ever bought j-rock goods of any kind from Yahoo Auctions Japan (http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/) u.u I've found very interesting things I would love to buy, but most of the users don't ship internationally....so how do you guys do it? I know some members do ship internationally, but those are the few so how do you do it?....Do you know anyone who could help me to recive the items for me in Japan and later on send them to me (of course everything paid ^^' not only including the shipping, also if this person asks for any kind of fee)...

I know there where used to be people who helped international fans to join FC such as Mon Amour when it was exclusively for Japanese fans...

any help with this? someone offers this service or know someone who does?, any kind help is welcome!

T___T hope someone takes in concideration my topic

Thanks!

There's been a thread on this before (here, actually), but the short answer is: there are "deputy services" who will bid, receive the stuff, and send it to you.
I use celga - they're friendly, communicative and they don't mark up too much.
Hope this helps :)

no one mentioned it in the other post, but I use Shopping Mall Japan. I think their fees are fair (unless you're buying lots of small 100~yen items) and they have an automated bidding serivce ^^ I believe they also do "special orders" off japanese websites (but its limited to cells and artwork). There's another service that is able to purchase items from shops in Japan too, but I forgot the name...M...something xD

Closet Child's music section has Demo tapes, but I saw the most at Pure Sound in Osaka....they had Dir en grey demo tapes for 30,000yen, but nobody had Malice Mizer demo tapes ::kaya:: Plus boxes upon boxes of "Who are they?! ::erm:: " demo tapes for about 80~100yen each. ::meev::

Pure Sound has a Malice Mizer "1th Anniversary" demo (mislabelled as SADNESS) for $480 listed online... but that's way overpriced XD

Ah, I didn't see that in the store. But I guess I was too distracted by the selection of half-off Moi meme Moitie towels ::meev::

All the (prominently displayed) demo tapes I saw in J-land were of bands or members of bands who had made it rather big, actually, and were thusly crazy overpriced. I too saw a couple of MM demos for 300~400, and Deg demos (by which I mean La:Sadie's, actually) were going for anywhere between 300~700. It's out of hand, but people SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASING DEMOS ANYWAY. HI FLOWERS. ::kiss::

^ Geez! My Malice Mizer radar must have failed big time O_o; I didn't see any (probably a good thing, I would have bought it). I did get a really old postcard set with angsty poses and bad French written all over them. ::kisaki:: and a Velvet Eden VHS for 300yen ROFL

It's Masato! You can use them to buy/sell on Y!J or for store purchases. I've never used them but have been recommended a few times ^^ I think Akibado has retail-services, so check them out too (but there a lot of negative comments towards akibado)

Puresound always seems to have older demo tapes. They're wayyy expensive because they are able to just leave them there until someone buys it. I like Closet Child though, they do the same thing but they have lots of sales so you can get some things for pretty low prices ::squee:: and their 100y~ bin of old stuff is fun to look through XD

I think Y!J is the best place for DT, sellers like to put up sets of DT. The old Dir en grey/La Sadies DT are pretty common and you can probably snag 2-3 for 4000-5000yen. (an auction for 1 L:S CD, 2DT and flyers just ended for 5000y~)

There's nowhere on the Masato site that talks about shipping fees... :(

Or am I just really, really blind?

Do not use Akibado. When I first started using them two years ago they were so-so - took a few days to respond to emails, took a while to get the items to their office. A year later it was terrible. I finished up my deposit I had with them and then had to email them multiple times over a period of a month or two before they FINALLY got back to me saying my stuff was packed. Sent payment, waited. Three months later, I figured it lost, got it refunded and sent payment again. Two months after that I suddenly recieved my stuff. All as it was supposed to be, but it took forever. I just recently got the last of my stuff from them, and this was stuff I won back in October/November of last year. If you pay by CC it may be less horrible than it was for me, but they are still very slow with replying to your questions and with status updates.

I use Celga now, and they've an excellent improvement over Akibado. I got my items within a month after winning them, their fees are very reasonable and they always email me back within 24 hours. Oh yeah, and they're really friendly too. ::meev::

OMFG I used them too >_<! It not only took FOREVER but they were very rude to me as well. Mail Order Japan is kinda the same way... but without the rudeness. In fact they were very prompt and answered all my questions, however that doesn't make up for a 2 month delay for my items XD!

I personally use Crescent Shop. They are fast, fun, and very very polite n.n!

Akibado blows. They take forever. I forget who recommended them to me but I can't imagine why. I'll probably use Crescent next time.

You should check them out at least. The new system has an automatic bid thingy, and the items usually arrive to their store in a day or so depending on shipping .
