I had this dream that I had to replace a guitarist in a live show, but I can't play guitar...so they took ten minutes and taught me how to play the song they were preforming, and when I got up there, I forgot how to play it. I started playing the notes I could remember, and I rocked! I was dancing and having fun. I could feel the aura of the stage in my dream...So I really want to learn how to play guitar! I was kind of learning before, but the person who gave me my guitar turned into a indian giver...But yeah, I can't wait!

omg
this'll be long.. :P

I am a drummer mainly and currently i am playing in 2 bands, one ''gotic metal'' and one being heavy metal with some death/black influences (mostly because i drum that way... lots of blasts & double bass  ). I've also been asked by about 4 bands to start with me a s a drummer (you know, bands whoa re complete...but only need a drummer :P) and some friends of mine also want to start a band...featuring a s the drummer
i also have a side project with someone in Portugal. we discuss on msn what kind of song we want, then i record the drums, send it to him with msn and when he has it he records his guitar and keyboards and pastes it over my drums. We have 1 demo-track and two ''full'' tracks, and i'm very proud of those little marbles :P

lately, i am also making electronic music, which goes VERY well!
so far my electro stuff is played for 5 times already at dance parties. 4 out of 5 times the dancefloor was full! That other time the dancefloor was empty because, well, the audiance wasn't right for it (there aren't many ppl at the local club who like Noise/industrial) (small and BIG ones :D)
My stuff(two tracks!!) is going to be played at maybe 3 big parties in the near future
my music is going to be played on two of those parties for sure

it's even going to be played in a neighbourcountry of Holland :p in Belgium to be exact ^___^

furthermore a local record store whould like to sell my music, that is IF it's good enough...
but i'm going to do my best and try to let that happen (to get my cd in that store :p)

if anyone's interested, here's a link to my ''hit'' (played 3 times! all 3 times full dancefloor  )

My band is still in the process of being formed :P But it's come a long way- I've only written about a song and a half... and I got a guitar just recently... One day though Amour Noir will be ready...

If or when I get into a band, I'd love to be a vocalist... or just be a solo artist and learn a bunch of instruments. I'm always trying to go ahead of myself, though.. I've only been (attempting to) make music since like, June, so I still have alot more to learn, and since I'm young, I shouldn't be so hard on myself, but.. >_> I still haven't made what really puts across the feelings I want to show.

Thanks you guys for showing interest in Zealous Veil! I'm hoping this year will bring some sort of release from me. I'll keep you up to date.

Also, an aspiring DJ has asked to remix a track or two of mine, and I've agreed. I'll be interested to see what comes of this!

I see this Thread as an Opportunity to show some of my new Songs from my upcoming Album "The Otherworld" from my Soloproject Borderline Bizarre.

Human Cogs Dancing To The Sounds Of Slavery

This is a rather industrial-related and very cold Song.

Fehlfunktion Mensch (Human Malfunction)

It´s hard to describe this Song, because it contains classical and Jazz Elements but is also modern Elements like Synthi-Sounds.Just listen for yourself.

@radical dreamer: XD I don't know if you want feedback, but there are some things I really like about them and some beautiful parts in #2 (and at about 5:00 in it sounds like nintendo music almost ^^)...

but I would have liked #1 even more if you made it more hard trance towards the middle and cut out a little of the repetition in the beginning. It just never seems to get where it's promising to go in terms of a heavy beat and development...just my opinion though. I wouldn't comment if I didn't care though, so...

I'm learning how to play the guitar/piano right now (I re-learning since I forgot things >.<), so.. maybe I'll have a musical project of my own anytime when I get better

But right now, since the only thing I can do is sing badly and out-of-tunely (sounds like Chun Li).. I am just managing a friend's band called Fire Exit. They're mellow-rockish, and they cover.. basically.. anything they can cover. I'm still opting for a managing style though - should I go for the Mr. K one? :grin: But instead I'll use a spoon instead of a gun (Tantei Gakuen Q reference..XD)..any suggestions? XDDD;;;

I played in a serious young jazz combo for a few years, first as the bassist, then as the pianist when a young upstart showed me up! :-P Which wasn't such a bad thing; all us musicians in the area knew each other and he was actually the bassist in my rock band, Sevensealed. :-P
Sevensealed, at the core, was me, that bassist, and the drummer, although very soon we added the bassist's brother on lead guitar and had two seperate keys players at other points, but it eventually settled on the foursome. We played together for... 4 1/2 years. Lots of local shows, lots of local notoriety (of the lame sort :-P). So much, in fact, that we got more well-known for doing stints in side projects than we did for our own material!
First I played keys for one of those big crazy stupid ska-type Aquabats! bands, called TBA. We got the name from when we formed, and signed up for a battle-o'-le-bands but didn't have a name... and we never came up with one. So that one stuck. We were really, really good. As a whole, I mean. Bizarrely good.
Then I played lead guitar in a band called Fragile, in which my own father played bass for a short while. :) Our singer was phenomenal; he was very good at taking my songs and my lyrics and making them less esoteric and progressive and much more accessible. I loved it.
Then I had an inadvertantly-gawfic trio called Flight of the Mechanics (vox & guit-stick), and currently I play bass in a strangely as-of-yet unnamed band. We go by the names of our guitarists when we play. :-P
I've also drummed for one-off gigs where some cover band or some other thing needed a drummer (during the holidays, usually, for jazzy business).

My bands name is The Fuss http://www.myspace.com/xthefussx, I play bass and am loving all the time. We've been together for about 8 months (I've been with the members of this band for the past 5 years) Right now my band is on a break becacause our drummer left off to college. We've been to lazy to look for a temporary drummer so we just play when he comes by to visit
