lardeen you should really try!
I decide to read the first book in english only after 2 years of english study at school! Of course lknowing the book in french and the film it was much easier but like that I've been able to read the second and then the other and now this one ^o^

really you should try and if really you don't understand some sentence use a dictionnary even if I know that's not really good when you read XD

I can't say much except: Why can't I speak/read English fluently? ::weepy::

I have to wait till 27th October for the German version >_<

Only because I am afraid of me not being able to read the book in English T_T

*sigh* U_U

Wel, I must admit I've had to reread, but the Harry Potter series were my first english books and I really didn't speak/read english well back then, but I understood it well enough.

So you guys suggest me to read it anyways?

I've read "The Hobbit" and the first two Harry Potter books in English and got along quite well, but...eh..
I already knew the Harry Potter books in German, so it was easier to read those in English as if when I wouldn't have known them..(fucked up grammar, sorry T_T)
I didn't read "The Hobbit" in German, though...and it wasn't that hard to read... Actually it worked quite good. ::shifty::

Still I'm afraid I will sit in front of the book like..." :shock: ..... ::bleh:: ... ::weepy:: "

@Kyu
I'd say understanding what is written here and what is written in the book, is quite a difference xD
Here you use only "normal" words, in HP also "made-up" words appear and those can't be found in a dictonary xD
(I don't use a dictonary when I read/write here, just for record because that sentence makes it sound like I would xD)

I know I maybe shouldn't ask this, but is there a chance to get to read it in the Internet? ::shifty:: I'll buy the German book anyways, but having two copies (one English one German)...dunno...and I don't have money ::zetsubou:: (Damn you Mana) I could try to annoy my parents though <_< But I guess they won't buy it for me XD T_T

^ Well, even with the made-up words, we didn't know them either until we started reading them because they were made up! XD You just gotta go with the flow in that department, and you know you can always ask us here. ^-^

Just in case anyone cares what I think (though I doubt anyone does).

I got misty-eyed during the Snape chapter. I was just so happy to see that he really was a good guy this entire time. He was the biggest hero of all. Imagine having everyone hate you and think you're their enemy when you're really putting yourself in more danger than anyone else to help them... And what a horrible way to die.

Hedwig dying right off the bat there...that was kinda shocking. I felt so bad for her. Dying in a battle is one thing, but just by chance like that...that's the worse. I know she's only an owl, but...

Loved Kreacher! The image of all those house elves attacking Deatheaters made me laugh.

The epilogue was horribly horribly lame. I dont think it was necessary.

Everyone really wanted an epilogue that was, say, a few hours later. That would've been fine enough.. or something about MOST characters. When it comes down to it, I really don't give a damn about Draco. It's like they're saying the whole books important characters were those five and that the others were just there "for fun".

@ Midori: Yeah, I really felt bad for snape, too. But....eh, he asked for the dislike from harry because snape really didn't like him at times. But you always see, no matter what side he was supposed to be on, he was always protecting either them or students in general so I figured that, at the very least, he had his priorities straight when he was at work no matter what his allegiances were.

Double post. *stabsself* x.X

How much did everyone end up paying for their copy of the final book? The original retail price is about $35, however everyone always has sales and stuff.

How much did you pay for it? I paid about $18.50 at Sam's Club the day it came out. ::kisaki::

Poor Snape.

:(

The epilogue was strange....but I did want some form of closure.

Hedwig's death was strange o.O Poor owl >.<

But Snape! He was always my favorite character....and I too got a bit teary eyed in that chapter with his past ::weepy::

Luna's 15. Just so's you know. And I thought she was great! in the movie. Played it so true to the character.

Oh, and look at Bellatrix's huge hair. I didn't know she was that sexy. If I was Harry, I'd join the Death Eaters ASAP.
