I'm going to throw out my vote as the one to the far right holding a plastic model of a uterus? (WTF is he holding?)

Second that. Though, why an uterus? :|

HAHAHAH Because whatever he IS holding has a very similar shape.

I'm sure it's something 'spooky' that Dada made for the photo shoot, so it could be anything ::meev::

Well in SS there was mention and imagery of fetus', so maybe he just has a personal obsession with random womens organs and fetus' or something? =P

I still say Hora's the fourth guy there, not the fifth.

What makes you say he's the fourth guy? I'm just curious. I think he's the one to the very far right, as they both have the same eyes/facial expression; the 'I'd rather be dunking right now' look.

#4's more scraggly and debilitated though, like Hora was back then (before he learned to dunk donuts)

Yeah, I'm going to agree with everyone here but Hanachan and say the one on the right; he looks the most randomly angry.
As for that thing he's holding, I honestly never looked at it that closely. I always just assumed it was a mask or something...
and a way to cover his chest as befitting feminine decency *hehehe*

but now it looks like an empty six pack ring.
"Yo man, where'd the beer go?!" *hick* ::hora::

And Jae's not too far from the mark with the uterus believe it or not (I don't think it has anything to do with a personal fetish for female insides though XD)

I'm a very new member here! and I'm so glad to read about VE, one of my favs bands in the wholeeee worldddddd

I think, the KALM era was the best,'cause the sound darker, dramatic, depressive, obscure, and scaryy... the lyrics just amazing, Dada create a Beautiful world, and the carachters are mysteriously pretty....
I prefer teh Street of ALICE album because of MAZE, LA FIN, SADMASK & Hamono no koi, the latest demotapes are good for a rock banda, and is like another banda, forme, already...

I prefer synths and all that electronic, darkwave stuff

a simple question: Anyone have the Arachnophobia song? because I dont
and more pics^...^^

so... see yaa...

d.i.x love...

Arachnophobia was a live only song, that if I remember correctly was played once, maybe a few times total. So, the chances of someone a) having it b) having a decent quality version or c) it surfacing on the internet are pretty damn rare.

I'm sure someone somewhere has the song, but it's almost impossible to find.

I listen to VE quite a bit, though not so much these days ^^; I'll give them a break until I've had a long enough chance to miss them again ^____^ Though I was just listening to Tsuppari Visual Rock n' Roll today...

I have a huge stack of photographs from VE lives and random encounters with the band, including Dada in a thong outside of 7-11 (At the time, I was more surprised to find 7-11 in Japan than Dada in a thong... No, I didn't take the picture)

My favorite CD was Ningyou Shoukan~ Though I like the demotapes more than the CD of Street of Alice, especially Girlfiend (which was kind of butchered on the CD release compared to the demotape)

I think I've heard all VE's songs excpet Arachniphobia... I'm sure it exists, but I wonder where the lyrics came from... o_O There are too many rumors associated with this band...

My favorite song by them is Circus Byou~~~

Rumors? You mean from Japanese fans? I can't recall hearing anything from the gaijin side of the sea.

Dada said he wrote the lyrics based on things from his dreams... As to those dreams though, he was a performer at Department H for a while and there are all sorts of strange things that go on there *lol*
Btw, he did mention that he likes the movie "Kumoonna no Kisu" (El beso de la mujer aranya). That seemed somehow significant.

I've heard everything from a new band from Dada and Kalm to Dada becoming a businessman to Dada starting a band with Mana... Sometimes I think that Dada just sits on 2ch in his free time and posts random things to see what people say.

I heard that one time he even wrote "Help! I'm trapped on a giant mango!" in English on 2ch and later put it in a comic. (I will be so surprised and happy if this makes sense to someone other then me)

Seriously though, Velvet Eden really isn't (wasn't) that popular here in Japan as far as I know... They probably have more a fanbase in America or overseas than in Japan (or they would have been able to put out more CDs rather than just demotapes up the wazoo) Most VK fans that I know don't like Dada's voice, though I have a friend who collected magazine pictures because she was infatuated with Dada's eyes. A really good friend of mine loves bands such as The Candy Spooky Theater, Emmuree, and Cinema Strange and he can't stand Dada's voice. It really takes all kinds.

Oh, that definitely clears up a lot of things for me. :P I think that Dada is a superb lyricist, poet if you will. He has amazing stories to tell.

His voice, on the other hand, is an acquired taste. I remember reading a scaper comparing him to Mr. Bean! Haha. He sounds like a gargling Kaya.

Oh, and I thought The Velvet sucked hard. I think I also read here at -scape-. :/
