It sounds like it's something that is more current, although he wrote that it is not as much as when he was singing. That whatever it is (online criticism?) affects his work and private life.

I can't tell if it's just that it puts him in a bad mood or if it's affecting more than that. It is Japan, so reputation tends to be a bigger deal there than it does in other countries.

Working overtime and weekends to sell X3s? Who the heck buys an X3 in Japan?
I had one as a loaner for the past couple weeks and it was fairly huge as these things go. I can't imagine many people in Japan liking it, or being able to physically fit it where they want to go.
No wonder he's working so much overtime XD

BMWs, much like Mercedes and Jaguar, merely survive on as status symbols and that's why they will always be in demand, especially in Japan where status does matter.

Who knows, maybe Gackt can get a X3 and fill it up with Sumifru bananas.

Sure, but the X3 isn't a particularly prestigious line either. No one's going to say "Here comes a big-shot" if they see you drive up in one XD
If you drive up in, like, a 7-Series or 8-Series with a custom paint job, sure.
So I think Juka does have kind of a hard row to hoe here. He's selling cars that aren't particularly suited to the Japanese market and don't really have the sort of "halo effect" that will get people to overlook its impracticality.

Nah, I found his car and it's something else:

On the prestige front, well, that's contestable; as a general rule of anything attached to a luxury brand, there are plenty of people (asians especially) who see logos and that is all that matters. So, while you and I may certainly agree that a X3 isn't exactly the creme de la creme of BMWs, to others they just see a BMW and may assume "Oh, it's from a foreign luxury brand; that person must have money". That said, I do agree with you that Juka has it rough, but such is life when you're not a J-rocker of Gackt/Yoshiki levels of fame.

Now, that Volkswagen- Wow. I shouldn't be surprised and yet.....

It sure is.

But I don't believe that's his car.
It could totally be, but I still don't think it is because you posted it.

Aside from the parking ticket thing, I don't think we ever found anything out of the ordinarily-bad about Juka online.
...oh yeah. And the sweat from that one video XD
Most of the horrible stuff I heard was about Dada...

I dunno, Dada seems to be pretty inoffensive these days on twitter (or did I miss something?). All I see him tweet are random model cars and his line of stockings/pantyhose... And retweeting random animal pics/goff gifs like someone's mum on facebook.

I meant back in the days (2000-2005)
They really tore into him online.

Nowadays there's not much floating around.

Juka also uploaded his version of Gardenia but he deleted it like in an hour (a friend told me the video got bad comments LOL). I saved the chorus part -> https://twitter.com/gonbitz/status/1213719244044681216

Whoever gave him so many bad comments must be tone-deaf. The sample you've provided is beautiful and if anyone can hit notes as low as Klaha without going flat, it's Juka. Too bad the feedback bruised him so badly that he deleted the whole recording, though.
