I hope someone will buy and scan the pamphlet... maybe we'll see Kozi and Yu~ki in it *_*
Considering that whatever it is is "forbidden," it could be. I would say Juka or Tohru or Kazuno would show up, but I kinda doubt that.

What I want is a silent garden of beautiful blue roses.

This notion of a silent garden sounds so weird to me. Can you ban birds?

Thanks a lot Lede!

As near as I was able to tell, there's not a single living nonhuman creature living wild in Tokyo except for a few crows in the graveyard. I doubt Mana would have trouble with birds.

EDIT: there WAS birdsong at one of the leafier subway stations, but I kind of suspect it was a recording.

Tokyo is definitely not a place for me then! I can't imagine living in an environment where I can't see or hear birds. On the contrary, I could VERY easily dispense with dogs, eheheheh!

Japanese really love nature so much because they spend most of their time in cities. I just rememer my friend that visited lithuania and he was so amazed we actually have a lot of parks in our cities and we can see a... sky! and stars! XDDD

Furthermore, birdsongs are part of the nature. So, they are not disturbing like the unpleasant noises of the busy modern life. In a certain way, they are part of the silence ^^
But, I admit that I really like to be in my garden (even if it is not really well-kept like I wanted it was XD) when almost all are asleep, even the birds ^^ So, for myself, I don't think Mana is so weird when he speaks of a silent garden.

Thank you for your translation, Lede :)

Oh my ! You have such early riser birds in your countries. Happily, here, they have understood for a long time that they MUST wait the sunup to have the permission to begin to chirp XD
So ... now, it's about at 5:30 in the morning. It's a reasonable hour LOL

Um, so a bird was walking on my patio where my dogs were. they didn't seem to mind it at all.

then it walked into the empty dogcage.
my god Sassy literally LUNGED at it wolf style.

My other 5 dogs just looked at her like wtf?
I was laughing my ass off. It was funny.

Birds are dumb. Going into a cage? Foreal????

I remember (it was years ago) when a pigeon managed to sneak inside the large room where we worked and of course it couldn't find its way out, and that was over the week-end, so when we arrived on Monday morning it was still there, in a panic, and the room was a mess!

Birds are not dumb (you're being anthropomorphic there, Zenchou), they have their own logic I guess. Or they're so used to being able to go wherever they want that they can't think what's wrong with entering a cage. What does a wild bird know about cages anyway? :P

I can watch birds, chimpanzees and cats for hours and not get bored. They simply fascinate me.

Urgh! Don’t start about those effing pigeons! Last year it cost me $450 and a lot of stress to evict a colony of pigeons that had built their nests underneath the roof. The house I’m living in now is about 7 years old but the stupid builder decided to put a ledge underneath the roof at the side of the house for no reason, so it created a perfect spot for those pests to raise their families. I put up with them for over a year. They made big messes on the roof, clogged the rain gutter and keep me from sleeping until noon.

Even after a year they still coming back and sit on the roof and in the early morning they stopped by my next door neighbour’s window and made tons of noise just to wake me up. After I have the pest control people installed the spikes they came back and build another nest over my front door (there’s another ledge) and also one inside the rain gutter over the patio. Now I am dealing with out of control weeds in the garden. I enjoy seeing other birds, cotton tail rabits, squirrels, cats which visits my garden frequently, just not pigeons.

I don't like pigeons at all either, they're a downright nuisance, and not interesting to watch. ::hora::

Blue roses? I think there once was a blue rose ...

and mana: don't do this! In our garden we have like 70 roses and it's a lot, a lot of work to keep them pretty
