I really like it, except for the skirt (which you can hardly see, but it's there). Why would he wear a skirt without at least trying to look like a girl? XD

Weird.

I was expecting ultra pink girly Hello Kitty Lolita or something. I think ditching the skirt would make it a great outfit. However I also just like that more grungy-rocker-punk style more then dark brooding gawfic stuff. :P

He sort of does look like a girl. His current stage costumes are only really masculine by his own standards.

I think the angle might have a bit to answer for. You can't see half the costme because the guitar's in the way, so it isn't the easiest pic to judge from. They also got him with a dodgy expression. He looks disapproving, like he's about to write an angry letter to the local newspaper.

It's far weirder when you see makeup combined with facial hair. I lurk on Jrocksecret (it's good, old fashioned entertaining rubbish  ) and a couple of posts ago there was a picture of Luna Sea's Shinya. He was wearing very feminine clothes and had a girly haircut- but he also had a moustache. A pretty weedy moustache, but still a moustache. There was a similar picture of someone from... MUCC, I think. It was a bit jarring to say the least! But quite cool as well. I think smashing masculine and feminine into each other can create quite a good effect once you get past the initial 'eh?' moment.

Eh, I don't think so. He sort of looks like a girl for his GLB shoots. He sort of looked like a girl for Malice Mizer. Even if he has pretty makeup in Moi dix Mois, it's not girly makeup--I know I wouldn't want to kiss a girl with a face/hair like that!

Moi dix Mois head + Pink Tutu = Weird and maybe funny, but definitely =/= Girly

The photo is not the best, but it brings my memory back to life *___*

His makeup was less hard than the normal stage one, but more like his usual one than GLB one^^;;
Seeing this outfit on stage was great and I hope for another great photo of the whole one!!

I guess, he should have chosen a pic where you can see his skirt...

But I like the photo :D
(where is this from? does anyone know????)

I don't know, man. I think to us he looks sort of manly but to most people he totally still looks like a chick. Every single person that has seen the MDM posters in my weight room have commented on what a pretty woman he is.

Wow, to me that picture doesn't show how he really looked at all. :|

I was expecting ultra pink girly Hello Kitty Lolita or something.

Those of us that were there already told everyone he didn't dress Lolita at all though. :P

Yeah, this is what I mean. He looks more masculine now compared to when he was in MM, but in MM he was wearing frilly dresses and things, so it isn't really saying very much. If you look at how Mana looks and compare it to most other musicians, then he definitely still looks feminine in comparison to most of them.

I was ever so surprised at this pic. To be honest, I had been expecting something totally different. This salmon pink looks ugly, and it makes him look fat, which is incredible. I'm sure this picture is a bad one and he really looked much better than this.

The photo doesn't give a very good impression of what he looked like IRL. First, the outfit was bright fuschia pink, not salmon pink. Second, with the guitar covering most of the skirt it looks more masculine than it really was (since you can only see the loose punkish top). Third, the pink lipstick made his mouth look softer than usual. But most importantly, you can't see him MOVE. I've never seen Malice Mizer Mana IRL and only had old concerts and Societe de Parente to go by, but he moved totally differently to how he normally moves in M10M. Not manly, camp or drag queen-y at all, but cutesy-feminine in a tongue-in-cheek, but very convincing kinda way.

:| Yeah, I don't really think you can call that salmon pink from such a low quality photo.

I edited the photo, fixed a bit the quality, colors, etc... note that I (sadly) wasn't there so I don't know if this color is closer to the one he wore... but I tried =)

Actually, this is very close to what I had imagined *____*... thank you for sharing the picture !
The only thing I don't really like are his boots (which seem to be the same ones as on the vrock catwalk picture)
