There will be no EOD on Astan Festivals this Year !!

I got informed, that EOD talked with the Astan Staff about Future Concerts. And EOD said that there will be no EOD Astan Concerts in Germany this Year and it is possible that they will not even perform at the WGT.
The Reason for that is that Astan have too many J-Rock Bands featured in the Magazin(!!!) ....i recall only Despairsray and Blood have been featured once on Astan Magazine.

What is going on on their Minds? O.o;

But there is still good News:

"Blood" and a Band called "Calmando Qual" and another J-Rock Band, which Name will not be officially announced untill Summer, will be shown at this Years Astan Festivals.
*LOL* I was wondering when that would happen. Only last week I noticed that there is now a direct link to Astan on jmusiceuropa's website, complete with a picture of Astan's logo. Wasn't the French promoter's links to jmusiceuropa one of the reasons EOD cited for cancelling their Paris show?

I don't understand what is supposed to be J-Rock about WGT though. :?

@ geisha was this really a reason?

ok I could imagen that theiy don't want to be associated with J Rock cause they are an industrial Rock Band... (more or less) unfurtionally for them, that they are from Japan.

You hit the nail on the head there. If you read back to page 1 and 2 of this thread you can see all the details of their argument. ;)

OMG I'm good XD

today I'm a bit reading lazy... It was just my thought.
But I'm also looking forward for new VK bands

I hope the people would see them more like an industrial band.

It's hard to see them as an Industrial band if they don't even have a CD out to judge by.

Seriously, no wonder people are trying to promote them as a J-rock band. Nobody knows anything about their sound, aside from the couple tracks that have been floating around on comps, and even then some of them are quite old.

It doesn't make a difference to me though.
If they're goth, Industrial, or VK or whatever, I'd want to see them because I like all of it. I'm still impatient waiting for the CD Though.
I guess I better keep my eyes on Ebay

BUT, in a spot of good news...
I decided to look into the distribution situation today for my store.
I took their most recent forthcoming release as an example (The Amgod set) and ran it through. It came up, so if my tiny operation here in Canada can get a hold of it no problem (through SPV) then that's certainly a good sign. So getting the EoD disc when it's finally released Should be nice and easy. ::dix::

Isn't Mana also seperating himself from the japanese scene? i mean he is becoming more international, branching out to different cultures.

Branching out and separating yourself from a scene are not the same thing. M10M still play in Japan.

So if WGT invited them both the same year one of them would refuse? I don't think so ;)
Hmm.. well, that would be an interesting situation for sure, but still, a four-day festival is not the same as playing tha same stage. :P (and this year's WGT line-up is already pretty good, so I'm goin' already, no matter what. xD)

You mean.. without telling anyone about it? :P
umm... well, that's beside the point, really! xD
anyways, I wonder how did anyone know about it afterall, coz based on the pics there were quite a few people. o_O

It was really not that hard to guess considering they were already having a 'release' *cough* 'party' there and ah... it was the only party happening on that day? XD
