I agree. Also I find it annoying how some guys are "fanboying" over certain members of this band simply because they're female. These are the same people who would probably roll their eyes and complain about the fangirling/fanboying of male VK musicians.

There's nothing "pwnd" about it, so stop being juvenile. Did you fail to read my and other carefully-worded rebuttal? What's the lame internet meme term for a reverse "pwn"?

I like her voice too, as I see in it a lot of potential, but only live so far; it sounds great live. Committed on CD sounds like she was too self-aware and therefore doesn't give the steadiest performance. Plus, she likes to keep her melodies low in her range, which I think is much shakier than her mid- to higher range.

I'm sure it'll get better. :D

Since I just wrote a brief live report for my LJ I thought I'd add my impressions:

They have a dark, gothy look and started their set by playing almost the entire length of "Mein Herz Brennt" by Rammstein (by playing I mean the CD was playing in the background while the members entered the stage), but that was as interesting as it got. Their own fare turned out to be crushingly average heavy Rock that would have been indistinguishable from the majority of what passes for VK these days if it wasn't for the female vocals. That said, the vocalist did a nice job of singing/screaming/growling her way through the standard male repertoire, which can't be easy with a female voice. I think the best thing I can say about them is that they aren't trying to capitalise on the fact that they're female by sounding or acting girly, but at the same time I think being female is their only claim to fame.

I believe that the range of vocals used in many visual bands were meant for women and this band totally supports my crazy theory :# thank you Exist Trace. ::meev::

Geisha; when did you see them? :)

Obviously I'm biased so I disagree on your assessment of them, but I'm glad you mentioned the Rammstein. Very often a band will come out to AWESOME pump-you-up music and then fail to convince me that the sound guy should have stopped the CD. :-P

I saw them at the HIZAKI grace project live on 15 December.

I actually bought their CD because I *wanted* to like them (you know, support your sisters and so on, plus I liked their dark imagery), but it only confirmed my opinion of them as being unremarkable and bland.

I'll gladly take the CD off your hands :D

I'm glad this topic got bumped; I'm seeing them tonight at Narciss and I'll be sure to give a very detailed live report. It MIGHT just be a little Miko-centric, though. Couldn't tell you why...

H+, I'm totally the same. There's one spot in Judea that I do like (and tonight it was performed impeccably), but Water is my favorite.

Anyway, tonight their set was very, very good. I'll write up more tomorrow, as tonight was sort of a whirlwind. I noticed a lot of REALLY subtle things about the way they perform and I can't wait to tell you all.
