Otherwise, I'm mildly interested in where this movie's going. I wasn't too impressed with Gackt's acting in Moon Child, so I'm curious to see how much he's improved.

Despite having seen him many times with guitars, I only actually "heard" any Gacktic playing on a tv show once (with Tsuyoshi of Domoto Bros.) He played the main riff from Metallica's Master of puppets. I was really surprised, I could never link Gackt and Metallica by any means before watching that.
Maybe it was sarcasm again?

I think Gackt can play guitar but not a while lot. mainly Rhythm I would say. Kind of like Hyde. Hyde can play a little better probably though since he used to play guitar first in his early bands. But gackt isnt amazing from what I've seen.
