I'll only say this: I wouldn't make fun of ANY artist or band's cease of activities or disbanding because I know there are many broken-hearted fans for whom this artist/band has been important in some way.
So, as a very big Juka fan, I have to say I am sad and I would love to see a respectful attitude towards this topic... that's my personal opinion though.

Poking fun and being disrespectful are two completely different things. Since no one is saying "Yes! God damn, finally! I thought he'd never quit!" you guys are really only complaining about people who, despite being disappointed, aren't completely heartbroken.

Nobody is happy, but it's perfectly fine that not everyone is heartbroken either.

*LOL*

I don't know if I should feel bad, because I was bitching about him to alot of people. And I made fun of him too, (that reminds me I have lots of doodles making fun of Juka :|)

It is a bit sudden, no.

Well, Juka. I am really sorry for making fun of you all those years, and I am sorry to all the fans ; the ones that I offended about Hisui :lol:

I think he should have went to go and do a Pop career IMO.

Rather unfortunate, yes, but I can't say I'm all too surprised. Not that I saw this coming or anything like that, I just didn't get a very strong sense of passion from Juka in regards to his solo work. It all seemed a bit pressured or forced, to me. In addition, I never really got a very clear understanding of his position as an artist. Especially when in comparison to an artist like Mana with a very defined character and musical direction. I think second to HIZAKI grace project, Moi dix Mois was definitely Juka's pinnacle, and I don't think his solo work lived up to the vocal skills he provided for both of those projects.

I thought his voice improved an unbelieveable ammount. In Moi dix Mois i couldn't stand listening to him live, he missed notes, and sounded tired, but live videos from recent lives, he sounded perfect.

Well, perhaps I haven't been exposed to enough of his solo work, I just know that personally, he appealed much more to me in Moi dix Mois. And I wasn't necessarily denying his talent, either, just stating that his solo work didn't really do it for me. :/

...<_<' I thought I had commented already o_o'
At least I remember I commented on even the first page, right after Cally O_O

However, this thing is so sudden ;_;

He wasn't my favourite artist, but I love(d) his voice~
Also his dorkiness is really cute ^-^

It's really sad he just retires like this ._. (ok, he might be just pausing, but to me this sounds pretty final T_T)
His own band coming up and the lives announced and all and then wooosh - gone.

I hope that boy is well and will have luck with whatever he will do from now on *hugs* ::weepy::

And I agree with that pulling a Klaha thing...

Gnaaa, I hope he is well ;___;

I'd love to know why he just stops like this ._.

Just wondering 'cause I'm not sure: Did Klaha ever say anything like this?

I thought he just said "I will return next year" but didn't. D:

More of a Yu~ki, then, although from what I recall Yu~ki disappeared with no word of warning.

@Hoshi: I agree that he sounded best in the Moi dix Mois recordings, but his live singing has definitely improved recently, based on what I've been hearing from people who've attended his recent lives and in comparing Invite to Immortality with HGP's Monsho DVD. It was only recently that we really started getting a feel for his personality, too. So I guess if he didn't like the direction he was going and IF he got a hell of a lot of negative feedback from other fans who didn't like where he was going either, better just take a break/call it quits now before getting too wrapped up in other projects.

Daamn!! ;__;
But it's pretty lucky that I got his discography before Aravesque and Luxurious went out of print...

I'm very sad... He's one of my favorite artists and a great influence ;_;

I MUST BUY SEVENTH SENSE! ;O;

btw, In which album is the acoustic version of "Jewel" and "Aravesque"? o.o [excuse my ignorance ;_;]

Juka talked a little at last night's concert about his reason for halting musical activities. He's sick. My knowledge of Japanese medical vocabulary is limited to cold/flu symptoms (>_<) so I didn't catch the name of the problem myself, but on 2ch they're saying it was throat polyps. I did hear him say he's had it for 3 years. He's halting activities to get treatment and is hoping to be able to return to music in the future.

The acoustic versions of "Jewel" and "Aravesque" are on the single "Suimenka."
