KOZI - MEMENTO

Here is all the info from Kozi's website. Perhaps there's something I missed that you can make better sense of:

日程:12月11日(土)
時間:開場/14:30 開演/15:00
会場:北千住駅ビル ルミネ内 ウィズサロン
内容:トーク&握手&サイン会
参加定員:400名
問い合わせ先:新星堂北千住店 TEL/03-3870-1980

Don't forget that there's also a Kozi FC event on the 28th of November so I think between the 3 the attendance should be more spread out. Except for the people who want to go to all of course ^^;

EDIT: Ah yes, I forgot. Mit mentioned this store http://www.shinseido.co.jp/ as associated with the other event at some point. Maybe it's them that are renting out the space. They have a page for Kozi here http://www.shinseido.co.jp/jpop/vrock/kozi.html. I don't see mention of the event though.

Aw, thank you! It's just an avatar of a Vidoll cosplay I did... I had it uploaded already so I decided to use it here...

But anyway! I'm irrelevant to this thread so go look at Yu~ki and smile! I'm so happy to see press about him after all this time ^_^

*meanders over to the intro thread ^^;;*

Oh wow, I'm sorry! And I'm sorry I didn't see that thread either. Bah -_-

The scan was so small, I just assumed it was Yu~ki... *reels* Wow, Kozi... *speechless*

If you reuploaded them, that would be great since the link I posted has such a crappy shot of the magazine. But if it's too much trouble that's okay!

Not a problem. The thread was old and it's not easy to tell from the tiny picture there. I think that was the point ;)

Thank you so much! Those are cute and hilarious! Kozi is fantastic ^_^

That phone number is for the Kita-Senju Shinseido store. Thank you, Amasanin! BTW, where are you finding this information on Kozi's site? ^^; I looked there and didn't see any event details at all. Is it hidden somewhere in the area that I can't view on my 800x600 screen? I can vaguely see the top of the fan club link but if there's anything under it, I can't access it. ^^;;;

I don't know how much the 3 events will spread out the attendance... It's very rare for Kozi to have any kind of appearance in Japan nowadays -- we see him less often than European fans, so many of the Japanese fans are probably anxiously awaiting all the events. I think I'll go check out the Shinseido store on the 5th after I get my Raika stuff, but since I can't wait in 2 places at once I won't bother to preorder in case the Shinseido event tickets are gone by the time I get there.

That would be it ^^; you're missing the bottom part of the site. Here's a full screenshot of it:

click

I've noticed myself that it's non resizable and I don't know why he hasn't kept 800x600 in mind at all. You can't see it from the screenshot but there's also a handy update note right below his banner in barely visible text so you don't have to look all over the place every time.

It used to be he had a keitai friendly site as well and you got automatically redirected if you went from the main URL. Maybe you can try accessing it that way too and see if it's still there.

Is it just me, or do alot of the ex-members of Malice Mizer use the same photographer. All of the pictures just have that sweet feel that you can only get from a certain type of photograph.. but I only really see these types within the band's members solo photos.

Thank you, Amasinin! From now on I will check Kozi's site by keitai or from a different computer. ^^

That would be Kenji Tsukagoshi. That soft dreamy glow is his specialty. ^_^ He frequently worked with Malice Mizer way back, but he wasn't the only photographer they used then. For the past couple of years though, it seems like Mana uses him exclusively.

Tsukagoshi's photos are always beautiful but because of the nature of band portaiture he doesn't often get a chance to show what he can really do artistically. "Magnifique" is wonderful because since it was shot in Paris and there was an emphasis on the backgrounds as well as Mana, Tsukagoshi was able to work outside of "subject always in the middle" mode and get some fabulous compositions. He also accompanied Kamijo to Vienna for the Scream/Vampire Scream shoot in 2000 and those photos are incredible as well. There's one particular shot on the top of a building that I'll never forget because instead of the typical central composition to draw the viewer's eye to the subject, complimentary colors attract it off-center; and the angles of the tiles, the roofs in the background, and the pose of the subject bounce off each other in a stunning compositional zig-zag all around the picture. Absolutely gorgeous. I would LOVE to have a poster-size version of that photo. I wish Tsukagoshi always had that kind of artistic freedom.

I'm not sure if you're serious about doing a comparison of who does what for whom, but for the record Klaha's photographer is Masatatsu Iwamoto, and his artistic layout, Chiaki Onda.

I did a search for Kenji Tsukagoshi, and it appears he worked with Gackt and Hyde as well for the Moon Child photobook.

I couldn't really find much else on cursory glance other than a reference to a picture of Kamijo that he did, and another one to the Malice Mizer photobooks. Do you know if he has a website, inertia? I can't seem to get much more with romanji, and I don't know his name in kanji.

If Tsukagoshi has a site, I don't know it.

BTW, his name in kanji is 塚越健二. I didn't have any luck with searches for it, but perhaps someone else can do better.

inetia: Thanks you. ^.^ It looks like he also did work for Gackt's Kagen no Tsuki photobook, as well as The Gift photobook. And there's some misc. other references, but no official homepage. Oh well. :(

Gensou: is this text? Sure, if you think you can capture the characters large enough. I know you have some experience with Japanese, so I think you'd have a good idea of what they'd need to be readable. Thank you very much!

You ought to get a Paypal Visa card. It's free and lets you spend your Paypal balance just like a real Mastercard credit card. Not that this'll help you immediately, but for the future it could be good to have.
