Mana doesnt hate his fans, in fact he seems to worry so much about them he's willing to go to an anime con just to see them. ^_^ If you take the fact he flipped them off when he fell down and damn near hurt himself as a kind of hate, then i must hate my best friends o.O

In my triangle of friends, giving one the finger means "I love you!". haha.

Which most people in their right minds wouldnt do. Never touch a man's guitar. The consequences could be potentially scary.

My band played at this festival last summer, and some girls kept trying to grab at my guitar, and I was about ready to kick them in the face. Instead of resorting to violence, I just hid behind our bassist for the next few songs. lol.

He's actually a lot nicer and squishier than I initially thought he would be years ago. I dare say when I first saw pictures and interviews with him in them when I was 11, I was almost scared of him. He seemed so...serious at first XD I'm happy I thought to myself there was more to him than the part he plays in front of the cameras. He's a lovable geek ::meev::

Dude, when I was seven I thought he was the coolest person in existance. (okay, so I still kinda do. but that's not the point) I was all "He's so ANNNGGRRRYYYY... but I bet he has stuffed bunnies on his bed like I do."

I thought about it all overnight, and I don't think I'll be spending the money just to go out to california and most likely pass out before I get my turn in line. I have to pay upwards of $4000 for schooling next year, and don't exactly have extra cash. Especially being the 15 year old shop-a-holic I am. :P

I thought about it overnight too, I think I would rather spend my time and energy going to a Moi dix Mois concert than a Mana-sama event. I can't find it on the AX website, and who's to say that everyone who goes will actually get in? ::bleh::

I want to see K too! :P There can't be a California Summer Party without K!! ::weepy::

Dude, of course not! Why didn't I think of that?! No K? What on earth was I ever thinking about in the first place?

Seriously. K = love. No K = Blackberry Sadness.

Haha, the flipping off thing was supposed to have been a joke ::meev:: But apparantly no one saw it as such.

As for Mana being a mean person, I was only trying to quote what I've heard other people say about him. Most of them Mana haters. So that comment was geared more towards them. Again, nobody got that one either.

So I guess maybe the dealie with Mana being at Anime Expo had no relation to Batsu whatsoever. So probably the staff at the con made a proposal to Mana and Mana accepted. And feeling that Mana had no problems and/or complaints from the con staff, he decided that he would still come?

You are gnarly for it Mana :cool:

^_^ allrighty, well I appologise for misreading your post then *gives an appology cookie*

Seconded. Sarcasm is impossible to read over the internet. >.>

The TRUE reason for malice mizer's disbandment?

Mana: *pointing* and this one's name is fluffykins, this is DOOM, this one is Mr. Pirate-Bunny-cause he has an eyepatch, this is Snugglepie, and this one is named Barney-I never got to see the show because my mom wouldnt let me ;_;
Közi, Klaha and Yu~ki: *completely wide-eyed in terror*

From what I can see, Mana's panel could be at any of these times:

Thursday July 1st, 2:00-3:00 PM.
Friday July 2nd, 8:30-9:30 PM.
Friday July 2nd, 10:00-11:00 PM.

It's entirely possible that it won't be at any of those times, but those are the only open slots in the panel rooms. His panel could get switched into someone else's slot though, so we'll see what happens.

The girl might have been acting goofy, but I've heard reports of Kamijo being goofy too. Holding and biting a plush bunny gift for a picture, making weird hand gestures, etc. It sounds like he was having a good time and there weren't a bunch of weirdos like there was for Kisaki and Rikku. I think his visit went smoother than the artists before him because he's not as well known. It doesn't look like she was doing anything incredibly extreme o_o
I mean, horns? Big deal. She's enthusiastic.

oh my, it sound so weird how time has changed things...I love kamijo and I love dear magomago, but the way as you say, he is not as well known as other artists, and then I'm thinking there was a time when Lareine where so much more famous, and at that time, Kisaki was still the little indies guy who few knew about. I don't particularly care where CDs and merchandise are sold. I'm sure in Japan, M10M CDs are sold in totally disgusting rathole indies CD shops. XD Really, all that concerns me is how the artists are promoted when they're present in person, on tour.
that's how I personally like it^^
The stores where I usually buy these kind of cds, are small places, full of posters and signs all up the wall, these kind of small stores where the bands come back for Talk and handshake and sign sessions... I love this scene very much.
Doesn't make me dislike big stores, but since there I have to search for my bands, I rather go to the place which only sells my bands...
I saw another comment about the way bands go...I don't mind if they get major, I still love Kagrra...But I still want them to pay at 400 people concerts about 10 times every month, rather than only big arenas, I still want the fans to come fully dressed up, I still want the shows to be super active with alot of para/odori, than just seats, I gladly even get a few bruices than to lose that contact¨, and to never again be able to be up front since if big seated shows, then I never get to sit first row ever...
there is a reason to why I check my makeup 10 times during a Psycho le cemu show and go to the toilet area when they have talk event, while I would never do that at a Vidoll or Mago show...
to me also the sound and the looks matters.
If the band leaves that scene...then they also basically said, " thank you for the time, we enjoyed it, but now we look for something else, goodbye" and I don't feel that I have the need to be the fan...
as a long time Visual kei fan, I don't only listen to the CDs, it's poart of my life...I live it, I feel it...and the band need to give me the feeling that they have something to give to me. But I will still be curious about how the bands develope, I might still nostalgicly show up at shows even if the band isn't that attractive to me anymore, I will still love the memories. And, I will understand that many fans will come and go, and as bigger the bands get, the more fans mainly listen to their new things and love it dearly, and I can't say that they're not as much fans as me, they're maybe even bigger fans than I ever was!! and they love the music...there will always be fans who love a lot of styles and music in variations, and those who don't think the looks or their own fashion toward the music matter at all...it's ok. we're just different...

therefore it's kind of hard to start talking about weather this or that band should show up at anime expo or anime con or not...people will feel differently. and things which matters alot to one, matters not at all to others.

many of the new mdm fans are not fans of visual....they're fans of metal or originally fans from the gothic scene, and so they won't have the same oppinions.
and then we have the fact that most vk fans both long time or short, atleast back in the days when it wasn't east to download, was anime or jpop fans before they discovered visual...one had to some way or another like something japanese to accidentally bump intoo a tv show or soundtrack or video music program or something that introduced the vk scene....

I got intoo shazna, on the way of already being a jpop jrock fan, and this was something very unique and new to me...

anyways~when Mana came to a japan/anime con in Paris in 2004 I didn't feel there was this " good or bad" discussion.
Everything was rather strict, we had to queue alot, we had to get our good seats, and then everything was just so nice! I doubt Mana could have felt a more warm welcome from his fans...and even if some people in the last rows in the hall were not fans, they stay to check this "Mana" because they're curious...

so, I hope it will be as great for american fans this time...after all, he comes to USA! and even if there's no tour, I promise all big Mana fans; you will have an amazing experience, because to meet your idols always result in the feeling of it actually being real. Everyone's real, and the music is real, the fashion and looks are also real. Atleast for me it is an important feeling, to be able to make the experiece a real thing and not just something I dream of.

anyways, a lot of bla bla^^;
sorry....I have one more question and that's;
when will the panel for Mana sessions be? My japanese friends are going but there's still nothing on the anime expo page about Mana at all....

So... did anyone go?

I'm itching to know how it went, the only person I know that went isn't online right now... :/

I think the con continues on until sunday, so anyone going probably won't be able (or even want to, for that matter. I wouldn't ^^;; ) to give us a report until monday or even tuesday depending on how much lack of sleep they've had. XD Cons are a lot of fun if you can look past the crazies, and there's plenty to do 24/7. :D

I hope everyone there is having good time! If it were me, I'd be dead considering I'm used to my small, 2,500 people con that I go to every year. XD but you know, that number is twice as many as we had last year, so mtac's on the rise! let's hope we have enough room for all the people *next* year... x.x

I was there. I was front row at the panel and went to the autograph session. But you're right, I couldn't sleep most of last night and I'm getting up early for tomorrow so...I'll get to a report as soon as I can! I think it went reasonably well, but I will say that Mana is awesome. All of his fans are not (more on "the crazies" later). Meeting him was incredible though.

^---- so the fans meeting them were scary? Oi...

I wish I had been able to go, granted I would have been horribly shy, but probably one of the few sane mana fans there. -____-;

(look for the last post)
*points at link* wow MANA being the one to initiate physical contact with another person?

He shook almost everyone's hand at autographs. I of course didn't know this and was about to turn around and leave his table, when he reached over and grabbed my hand. Blink <---that was me.... and then---> Big Smile

Why that makes me feel strangely....fuzzy inside. O.o Mana never ceases to make me smile ^_^ I would have given my left arm to be there for the Q&A, though.
