except metamorphose is cheaper. ::shifty::

And very poor quality.

Oh? They always looked pretty good to me. Have you bought some of their stuff before?

No, I haven't because I saw a jumper dress and eww the lace was polyester, shiny and scratch :/. They use lots of cheap lace (it's not bad to use it, though) but they sell their items as if they were done with venise lace or something expensive. Unlike Moitié, they use really nice fabric and lace :)

I have some things from Moitie and a couple things from Metamorphose. My metamorphose stuff is pretty good quality. It's no "stuff produced in mass from China and sold for $20 at Target", but it's not completely undesirable. I have a skirt with the cheap lace, it's not that big of a deal, but needs to be ironed a lot. The fabric is comfortable enough.

On the other hand, Moitie makes special lace (example), and the fabric is really soft and comfortable. Definitely worth the higher price.

MmM sometimes really has nice things.

One question that I questioned often myself: Do they have different sizes? I mean, I have 93cm bust, how should a 82cm bust top fit?

Most often the fabrics used don't have alot of stretch. Usually the skirts have a set waist size of 64cm, and the blouses are made for.. "less-bustier" people. What usually works is to try on the men's sizes. There's usually more room in the bust and many of the blouses are just as feminine as the women's styles.

Unless you go to the actual store, or happen to find some crazed maniac on ebay who is willing to give up their Moitie item, you won't be able to get it in any other size other than the one listed on the site. It sucks, doesn't it?

Some of the things I can wear, some I can't. And if I can't, I just send my grandma to the store "Pick this up for me. DO IT NOW. Send it to me ASAP." (Actually, I'm nice-er than that about it. lol)

An 82cm bust won't fit you, unless it's a stretchy material, which is unlikely for Moitie. Unless you feel like being suffocated or you want to risk ripping the fabric.

OH, I forgot about courier services. You can pay them to go to the store and get a specific item in a specific size, and they will ship it to you. But I warn you, it can get kind of spendy. I used http://www.crescent-shop.com/ once, before I went "DUH. Nano can pick it up for me." They were nice and got my skirt to me nice and quick.
EDIT: I guess Cresent Trading doesn't do store shopping anymore, just online shopping... You could try looking for other courier services, though.

Sorry, I know it's all kind of off-topic... but I just love talking about Moitie. Its the only name-brand lolita stuff I own, and I love it (not just because it's Mana's, either...).

As my friends say, it's expensive because we have to pay that extra Mana-is-so-cool fee.

Well I have 89cm bust and my moitié dress fits me okay (without bra, though).

Maybe you could use those sports bra that flat your chest really good? Just a suggest ::bleh::

That sucks...
Nah, I have a top with 88cm bust, and I can't breath normally, can't strech like I want and whatever and my bust has an strange form, because it flatted, so it begins before it actually begins, and end lower then it normally end. (where should it go elsewhere?)
And thats 5cm smaller, but Moitie would be 11cm smaller, and that mostly even not possible with stretchy material...

it's expensive because we have to pay that extra Mana-is-so-cool fee
:lol:

@Bagt
Really? :shock:
I can't imagine that...I know how it feel to wear a 5cm to small top but 7cm to small sure don't feel better...
Mh, I could play martial-arts-girl. ^^ I could flat my chest with bandages till there is nearly nothing?
...bad idea. ^^'
What things do you own, if I am allowed to ask?

Well, the material has a little bit of strech, and really, it feels really good, I can breath normally :)

Sadly, the dress I bought is not longer in the website. I'll try to take a pic and show you ^^

I think it's from a very old collection, because I never saw it in the website. I bought it in Closet-Child and the photo it's not longer there.

It's very simple, all black, light fabric, with short slevees and some lace on the chest.

I'll try to take a pic soon :)

Ah, I bought an older one from closet-child as well, and couldn't find it even looking through the internet archive.

Actually, I think one of mine could fit a bigger chest/waist, because it's shirring (I don't have any boobs so it doesn't matter for me)

waistline:

I think somebody with a chest and a bigger waist could fit in it, as long as their shoulders were narrow. So there is hope^^;

This has been bugging me for a while - how do you determine the shoulder measurements from what CDJapan gives you? Like for example this shirt says Shoulder length: 34cm, but obviously that's not measuring all the way around, right?
The shoulders worry me because they seem to be the only measurement I wouldn't fit into :|
EDIT - My shoulders are about 94 cm, maybe a little less

Shoulder measurements are just how wide your shoulders are, so it's across the front, not a "circumference" measurement like bust or waist. :)

MmM clothes are a problem for me ;_;
I have 94cm bust. I'd probably flat it with bandages (VERY TIGHT). I did that when I put my overbust corset (dix infernal cosplay), and it was ok (not totally straight, but at least it got smaller.. around 75/70cm.. it was pretty tight). I don't think the pain is worthless, but I wouldn't do it again, just to fit into a MmM blouse XD. *scaried*

Mh, waist would fit. =)
Maybe, but the mensizes wont be tight at my waist, wont they? (have a 63cm waist)

@Bagt
It would be nice if you could take a picture. =)

@Aiko
Your dress is beautiful! You dont want to give it to me?
Do you have blonde curls?
And it looks like you have boobs..

@Lede
Shouldermeasurement is from left to right. Best you let take the measurement from another person. If you try it to do by yourself you will bow your shoulders and can't messure it right.

@bruke
I know the bustproblem. ^^ (I have 93cm)
:shock: 20cm smaller is A LOT smaller.
I can imagine that hurting...how do you were able to breath?!
