People need to find new things to criticize Mana for every day. He looks fine.

I dunno that this statement really fits with the atmosphere of the forum. Just saying...

OK. In all likelihood Mana can't control how thin he is. I know I myself am quite incapable of gaining weight. I think it's kind of jumping the gun to assume he has an eating disorder or something or that he is somehow obligated as a citizen of the world to put on pounds. If that's the way he wants to look, so be it, but like I said it's probably just how his body is. All I was trying to say is that I think it's odd that people criticize even Mana's lifestyle choices. If you feel my comments are unwelcome then I apologize and urge you to pay them no mind.

I find it so puzzling that you should think we "criticize" him. If someone I care for looks much thinner than he used to, when he was thin already, I find it rather normal to notice and wish he gained some weight. I'm sure he was not that thin when I saw him live 4 years ago. If feeling concerned about someone amounts to criticizing them, then perhaps we shouldn't give a damn about anybody anymore? It's all the funnier as I am probably the least intrusive person you ever met. I may be wrong but I doubt he "chose" to lose that much weight.

I didn't mean about his weight (I think he looks fine). Didn't say your comment was unwelcome either.

I'm just saying that maybe you're reading the forum to be much more hostile than it actually is,since you seemed upset yourself by the reactions. As MissUMana and Astral Romance stated, they're just worried he's not healthy.

He's always looked pretty twiggy to me, idk. Sure he looks skinny in those pictures, but I don't recall him ever being much bigger.

Agreed. No offense to the people who are concerned for Mana's health, but I don't think he's actually lost any weight or has any health problems.

I think people can misinterpret skinniness. I've always been very skinny, but it doesn't matter how much food I eat; I just don't gain weight. My mom used to always take me to the doctor when I was growing up because she was afraid I was malnourished and that she wasn't feeding me enough. When she noticed I lost weight after joining basketball in 6th grade, she nearly had a heart attack. But I've always been a healthy and consistent weight even if people don't think it looks healthy (and our doctor confirmed that :P).

Yeah, my dad and grandpa both went from bean poles to obese. Literally. My grandpa was 6'3'' and 120 pounds most of his life, but he hit middle age and turned into Santa; both of them are clinically obese.

But their lifestyles and diets are obviously the culprits. I eat a lot better than they ever did and intend to exercise regularly for as long as I live ::meev::

I've always saw Mana-sama as an 'elegant gothic stick figure', so I'm not shocked at that, more-so the blonde hair caught me off guard!

I sure hope I look as good as him when I hit my 30's. ::meev::

It's the MALICE MIZER getting back together kind of change ::gaku:: Hence the blonde hair and Moi dix Mois releasing the new "Reprise" album to commemorate Dix' dix years. (This is not a comment meant to be low-level campaigning against Moi dix Mois.) Then again, you might consider that a mid-life crisis

I totally think this is it. Why else would he close the fanclub? (because he's going to restart the MM one! haha) Plus he said he had a big surprise planned for the live on the 29th~ Not to mention all the snipplets of MM he keeps playing at m10m lives. :D

I know. What, this whole discussion came out of ...two pictures? XD

Mana's always been skinny to me. I hate when people IRL think you're either too thin or too chubby; they're not the ones in any control of your body or know how it works.

Mainly it's just that I don't personally find ultra skinniness in either gender attractive - but if that's the weight he feels comfortable with, more power to him.
