It's true that Christmas is a normal working day in Japan but I think they celebrate it though. You speak about a romantic occasion. I was said yesterday by my cousin that Christmas eve in Japan is a romantic day that can be compared to Valentine's day in USA. And so, a lot of people spend that evening with their lover (restaurant and so on). Oh my !
