I will probably be at the Pittsburgh one too...it is only 2 and a half hours from my house (and i will have my license by then). When anyone finds out about information about the exact dates (especially Pitts.), please post. Also, will the tickets be sold at the door only?

Yay for Kyo!!!!

P.S.: I wonder how Kyo reacted when he saw that thing about him being like Manson...O.o or was the rest of the band nice and not let him see it....?

Guys, all they ever said is they don't care for what Manson does. They never said "OMFG WE H8 MANSON LOLZ FOR SERIOUS". You're blowing it way out of context.

There are some obvious similarities between the 2, so I don't think anyone should be surprised when comparissons come up.

Eh, it was in the BBC interview....but I don't think it's a big deal. It's just people's way of trying to figure out where deg stands as far as the american music scene is concerned. The comparisons will soon vanish as the band starts to stand on their own. :)

I concur. Both their visuals and messages seem to somewhat coincide in some ways. I've never understood why Kyo doesn't like Manson.

I think exactly what was sad (or rather, translated) was "We often get asked if we like Marilyn Manson. We don't care about Marilyn Manson, and I personally don't like what he does."

All I read into that is, "Can we talk about our band now?"

Aiko: There was a cosplayer dressed as GAUZE-era Kaoru at the NYC show. Like, with the feathers and all that. Doubleyoo-tee-eff. ::meev::

Yep, same thing. I don't like to hear about Marilyn Manson when they interview some other band. Besides, im not into Marilyn Manson at all so it was useless comments all the way... well mostly.

How well was that whole BBC thing translated, anyway? It didn't exactly seem like a bias free, "just the facts" direct translation. It was something for a TV show...something that they wanted to be sure people would take an interest in. They could have just been putting words in his mouth.

"Those wacky Japanese don't like Marilyn Manson!"

Yeah, that too. The whole segment was dedicated to making them look silly. "Oooohohh, yes, they're SO not gawth! ::meev::"

Yeah the BBC interview is very sketchy. The editing, the translation, the narration... Like when they used the same clip of Kyo and Die laughing like three times. WTF? I agree with navate. The whole thing was done in a way to make it look like they're ripping on Marilyn Manson and Lolitas and crazy and whatever.

Kyo sounds pretty polite in the Japanese like "Hmm...I don't think we're Gothic..." "I personally don't care for his work" Not all like, pissed off and snooty like in the voiceover they give him. XD

Ahaha, seriously!? xD I don't even have any cosplay (besides this awesome monstrosity I bought ::meev:: ). I think if I go, seeing as it might be a five minute drive from my house, I'll just wear the Osaka Jo Hall Deadly Claris tour shirt (3/4 sleeve with the red naked angel tattoo-looking print on the sleeve).

Why do everyone compare just everything to Marilyn Manson, anyway? ::bleh::

Marilyn Manson isn't that big of a deal in America anymore.

I thought Kyo creamed over Sid Vicious/Atsushi Sakurai. not Manson O_o... DéspairsRay would be a band inspired by Manson in ways, not Dir en grey.
