Who has more potential?

An interesting subject was brought up with a couple of my friends the question was: Which gender has more potential to be beautiful.

i believe that the male gender does. ie:visual kei

i'm just saying, look at boys wearing makeup then look at girls wearing makeup.

It's like that one saying: 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.

Well . . . I'm not really biased on a gender. I think females and males both have their good and bad points. Having 'better potential' for beauty doesn't seem all that important to me.

Hmm, what to say? Beauty can be overrated and distorted.

Gender has no affect on whether I think someone is beautiful. It's more a combination of personal style, hygeine, attitude, facial structure, and body type. So...anyone has potential. Gender doesn't matter, it's the indidvidual. Perhaps girls put more effort into reaching said potential, but that's a social thing.

And even then, so many people don't have an appealing attitude or a style that suits them, so they're unattractive anyway. Boys and girls alike.

Girls intoxicate me when I'm around them, so I find girls more attractive, but I have to admit that I appreciate the male aesthetic at least as much.

I'm going to have to go with both.

I love women (although typically they don't love me back) so I personally, with nearly a jillion percent bias, would say women. There are way more women I find attractive than men I find attractive.

But taking things out of my own preferences, I think the very question is loaded and flawed.
And don't try to tell me that makeup plus boys always equals hawt, because even in VK there's not even a majority I think are attractive. Some guys think so, but they either aren't doing it right or simply do not have the face/body to pull it off.

And there are different kinds of manly attractiveness... there's the boyish, playful type, the weird, nerdy hot (although rare), the androgynous, feminine boy hot, and the Brad Pitt/Johnny Depp hot, which is a wide spectrum of attractiveness I place firmly in the "masculine" category.
(I already anticipate that this comment will lead into a Johnny Depp discussion re: his perceived femininity in certain roles; I'm going to nip it in the bud and say you're missing my point.)

That is so true, hahah! If I'm honest with myself, there are very few guys involved in the VK scene I truly find attractive. Many of them look rather silly (or downright terrible).

I mean, I've seen some pics of them. But yeah; the blue dude. He's scary.

"Beauty" being ultimately a subjective matter, I don't think any further explanation is necessary or possible.

Well, I don't want to get into technicisms but I believe the real question should be:
Which sex(each with their known physical characteristics) has more potential to be beautiful?
Because really... my sex is feminine but that doesn't mean I look terribly attractive as a woman. Or that things usually paired up with women match with me.

I think it all boils down to what gender that person identifies with... There are masculine women I find beautiful & masculine men I find unattractive, yet I find many boyish/girl-ish men pretty and dislike girly women.

Eh... I didn't make sense, did I? I chose both!

I've always prefered girls... I just find girls more attractive than boys in all ways, and most boys I find attractive look like girls or have at least feminime features. I think the female body is more beautiful than a man's, and girls faces tend to have nicer features imo, like smaller chin, rounder cheeks and smaller nose, and others too (englishfailure).

And my ex was the most beautiful person in the world and she was a girl so that have to mean girls are prettier 8D8D
