I just received perhaps the laziest Crypto scam mail I have ever seen.

The other day I went and checked out the new, reopened Rizzoli Bookstore and it was pretty disappointing. After relocating from Billionaires' Row (seems bookselling doesn't pay the rent up there) they've pretty much cut back to only coffee-table fashion/photography books, Italian-language books, and a handful of current paperbacks. Most of the stuff they list on their website seems to be online-only.

So in essence, books have all but been relegated to the role of interior decorating accessories.

People with tiny little teeth creep me out like nothing else.

Weird-ass dolphin looking creepoids.

In other news, I have finally finished the laborious undertaking that is inputting all of my student's grades for the semester.

I've also become an assistant advisor to the art club.

My brother registered a new email address and sent out an email to let inform everyone of the change,
I was completely unaware that Yahoo Mail still existed.

Anyway, every update that Outlook puts out is making it increasingly frustrating to use so it is probably time for me to make a change as well. What are you guys using?

All my email is running off MS Exchange on the backend. (Exchange Online Plan 1) It seems about as good as anything else.
I used to just use the built-in mail service on Dreamhost but the spam blocking tools just weren't up to the task anymore.

As for clients: Outlook on Windows, Thunderbird on Linux, FairEmail on phone. Looking into Claws-Mail on desktop but the lack of HTML support seems to be problematic.

Since tarot cards are the order of the day: anyone ever wonder what the deal with psychics is? You never see anyone actually going to these places, yet they often occupy expensive real estate like Manhattan storefronts or entire buildings of their own out in the suburbs. Like, I get that they don't really have any expenses besides a phone line, a few sticks of hippie incense, and a pack of CARTOROMANCY brand Mana Cards, but it seems impossible that they could even make rent and/or pay taxes.

I actually looked into the public records for one of the places around here that rents (?) an entire building, and it seems like they managed to get themselves declared a church for property tax purposes ::kozi:: The owner of the property seems to be a speculator in miscellaneous land parcels - I wonder if the whole thing is just a tax dodge. "You run a 'church' on my property and zero out my taxes, and I give you a sweetheart deal on rent."

I was going to say...
I used to do tarot readings in high school. One day I didn't have them and used a pack of Fushigi Yuugi playing cards instead.
It worked just as well (not to say it's a scam or anything but...).

They seem to be making an absolute killing here, there is always at least one person having a session and it isn't unusual to see a few people waiting in line.
Is that for Western-style "Miss Cleo" psychic/tarot joints or are we talking Japanese-style 占い here?

Well I mean it could've been worse, you could have had cards with a bunch of loutish bandmen on them.

Tarot and palmistry. I've never heard of anyone undergoing any Japanese style 占い.
Although I was told by a 熟女 that I should study it because I'm handsome and could make a lot of money. ::gaku::

Thinking of Maze btw - now that's a trip down memory lane

See, I would have thought it was the opposite and that "cultural" fortunetelling would be more popular than the Miss Cleo stuff. Over here at least, I think people who do stuff like Haitian vodou have much more thriving practices.

Can you even say that word over there without getting in trouble? XD

^ lie
Not that it matters, because everyone knows you just need to be elegant, mysterious, and a cutie charming.

I can't remember who said it, maybe Mishima, but they called Japan a masochistic country that looks down on itself until some element receives foreign attention after which is receives social and cultural elevation. A lot of things started making sense to me after I read that.

I'm not sure, I'll have to make some inquiries. I do have a Asaka Yui towel with 熟女魂 written on it which no-one has objected to.

I thought it was sexy, pretty, angel, Manaサマ~
