Oh wow the Kaleidoscope remix blows. No one seemed to like it so I thought I might since the original one is one of my fave songs ever...but I'm not digging it. It's not nearly as fun and bouncy, just boring and almost cacophonous at points. It's still Kaleidoscope, so I can't bring myself to hate it, but I don't see why I would ever listen to this version. Psycho Butterfly doesn't sound that different to me; it's still only an okay song. Not nearly as dynamic as the other songs on Glitter. See Elec's post for my stance on the blemish that is Masquerade. ::bleh::

Rose Jail, Glitter Arch and Silvery Dark are all amazing. They make this album a definite winner for me. I was iffy on Paradise Lost at first, but it turned out to be one of my favorites. I actually like all the new tracks better than any of the previously released ones on here. So definite thumbs up from me.

Oh, also I forgot to add. @ minagoroshi, I KNEW the beginning of Rose Jail sounded familiar!

I think I finally understood transient....

Anyhow, I'll need the weekend to finish up with the lyrics (if anyone really does care :P )
I'm truthfully not all that fond of the remixes either, and "Paradise Lost" set off those little warning lights in my head that said "Dada concept rip off? What?"....though the music still makes me laugh. It reminds me of a German beer drinking song for no real reason.

Other than that I do like the CD and it's good to listen to when I'm excersizing, so no problems there. I personally think Hora and Kalm both wrote some good stuff. Mermaid Kaya's cool too, and I get much more of a sense of....sincerity? in how he sings and writes this time around.

It's a little hard to see how the CD design concept fits into the music though. Still, that's more of an observance than any kind of problem I think; I'd be fine with a pictures of wooly catterpillars when it all comes down to it so long as the music's good.

Thats why I'm here! I love the album...the only track I don't like is Masquerade. I just don't really get into any of the jazz-stuff that bands always seem to try.

I happen to love the kaleidoscope remix. i love the single version and that album version seems to be in the same phylum but different genus...or whatever...i never really went to biology. I passed though. I kinda like that no one really likes the remix...cause now its mine. ^^ *sly

I think that could inspire Hora's next CD cover xD

Oh and I would like to see translations too if you do them ^^

The album is actually a lot better than I was expecting. I like it a lot. I didn't know Hora was going to be on the record either, so that was a really excellent surprise.
Rose Jail is an absolute monster. It's too bad Kaya's vocals aren't as awesome as the song is. They're mixed a little high too, so they overpower the music :-\

All in all though, a really good album according to my palette.
I'm also happy about the remixes on the album. It gives a little bit extra to the fans who shelled out for the singles.

He sounds like he's singing the same exact way to me.

I think he's singing differently, only I like the new way. I don't like the low, swallowed sort of tone that gawfic Japanese VK singers seem so fond of, so to hear Kaya go much lighter on that has been quite nice.

The nasal-ness. >_< Once a vocalist can get over that, then I can stop cringing... which is why I think that Glitter Arch is such a superb song. *scuttles off*

I wouldn't really say that's different per se. He's sang like that before, it's just.. more often.

Suspended Ideal - Thanks for sharing the scans :D I noticed Kaya is wearing the same choker/necklace thing and fishnet sleeve(?) he wore during Schwarz Stein.

+ + + +

I REALLY like Rose Jail!
I love how Kaya screams...
Kinda funny how it's the Mortal Kombat theme in the beginning though... KD

Silvery Dark is nice. I like the piano.
For some reason, this song kind of reminds me of NANA...

Glitter Arch is cute and happy.

Hydrangea - I like the intro a lot! :D I like the calmness of the song too.

You're very welcome. :D The dress he's wearing also reminds me alot of Artificial Hallucination, too.

I havent actually given a review yet, and I'm supposed to be cleaning my room, so this is going to be the shortest review ever.

Kaleidoscope -glitter mix-
This remix has recieved a lot of flak, and yes, granted, it is most definitately infirior to the original version, but it deserves the credit of being called a mix, unlike the other tracks on this album. The more I listen to the mix, the more I like it, but it doesn't give me the same feeling that I get listening to the orignal, which is somewhat of an audio-bliss for me. I think really, you have to be a die-hard fan of Kaleidoscope to appreciate the mix and forgive that it's not the same.

Killer or Filler? Killer.

Walkure
Heavily reminds me of Schwarz Stein's stuff, and since Schwarz Stein was, and still is my favouritest band in the world, I'm not one to complain. It also makes me believe Hora is still capable of making great music, despite bringing out "lolz-11-variations-of-the-world-also-known-as-prominence". I haven't listened to this song a great deal, because it won't upload on my mp3 player for some reason (probably the dots over the u in the title) so I can't give much more of an opinion than that.

Killer of Filler? Killer.

Paradise lost
A friend of mine described this song as "the music you'd get in a cartoon scientests labratory", to which I replied "Dexter's lab?" and now I can't get this image out of my head. Despite this, I didn't think much of this song when I first heard it, and then I caught the parts where Kaya sings exceptionally high notes, and I think it's so beautifully done, I can't stop listening to this song now. It's definitely one of my favourites on the album.

Killer or Filler? Killer.

Masquerade -fabulous night mix-
Nothings dramatically changed, apart from a sax added towards the end, and, in my opinion, weaker vocals.

Killer or Filler? Filler

Psycho Butterfly -nightmare mix-
Extra beat added. By rights, this song should be called Psycho Butterfly -nothings changed mix-. But I adore Psycho Butterfly, so I'm not really going to complain.

Killer or Filler?: Filler.

Rose jail
Mortal Kombat + screamy Kaya = win. Oh how I've missed you, screamy Kaya.
Even if it does sound like he's saying "me so high".

Killer or Filler? Killer.

Silvery Dark
I'm not a fan of ballads, but as far as they go, this is lovely. I admit I haven't listened to this much, so I can't give much more of an opinion, sorry.

Killer or Filler? Killer.

Glitter Arch
Great song, also, in my opinion, forgettable.

Killer or Filler? Killer, but not that amazing.

Hydrangea
Love the guest vocals, it brings a refreshing change. Like Glitter Arch, it's also forgettable. Sorry. D:

Killer or Filler? Killer.

Favourite tracks? Paradise lost and Rose jail, fo' sho'.

...I think this is the longest post I've ever made here.

Love the guest vocals,

Those are guest vocals? I thought it was Kaya + some heavy voice mod >_>;

Sounds like Kaya to me, just with lots of Karaoke echo feedback and trying to sound like a girl...
Echo makes everyone sound like that IME

Yeah, now that I've listened to it closely, I can hear just about that it's Kaya.

Also, theres no mention of a guest vocalist in the booklet, so that's a pretty big giveaway. :/

..I'm still referring to the first part as a guest vocalist, though. Because I'm too lazy to edit my post.

It appears that I'm Masquerade's solitary defender here in this thread. ;) I liked the reworking better here on Glitter, and I think his vocals sounded a little better; more fitting in with the sort of approach the music took.
