Hey all, I haven't been here/replied to anyone in a while, but I've read through just about everyone's replies 'cause I like to keep tabs on who's playing what even if I haven't heard of the game or don't own the console to play it.

I played about two hours of Rock Band and I've come to realize I have very little hand/foot coordination. :D All the more reason to set aside more time and practice playing. I don't own the game, though. I *will* own GHIV soon, though...

However I *have* been playing Wii fit. The balance games are fun!

And there's lots of new Wiiware games I'd like to download and play but again, time... D:

AH! Tales of Symphonia 2 is released in about a week. >_< And Animal Crossing a few days later! Andandand Sonic Unleashed a few days after that! Man... luckily winter break is coming up. ^^
(Edit: And yay, job. ^^; But most of my money is going towards video games. Oi. @__@)

"Move the pointer onscreen without touching the Wiimote. Concentrate!"

Y'know, this isn't related but... why hasn't Nintendo done anything with head tracking yet? I don't know what's stopping them.

Does that actually work? My mom thought it was really pointless ::meev::

@Einherjer: Resistance 2 looks so scary though XD I wouldn't mind playing it if someone was there with me ::gaku::

I assume you already saw the guy who did head tracking on a computer using the Wii receiver bar as a headpiece?
Probably because there's not that much you can do with head tracking as long as the player's confined to looking at a rectangular area a couple feet square. I think it would just be a distracting gimmick. Not to mention that since most Japanese people live in tiny shoeboxes, they'd be even less able to take advantage of the effect. (see the Twin Famicom for a console designed with Japan in mind... controller cords are about 2 feet long XD)

Anyway I'm looking for a new game to play. Anyone ever played "Drakkhen"? It sounds kind of interesting.

EDIT:

Well, it's tough going. The next exercise is to levitate the Wiimote and use it to point to a target onscreen.

Resistance is more of a sci-fi shooter than a horror game, although a few parts made me jump because there are these super fast enemies that seemingly come out of nowhere. I think you'd be fine playing it alone lol

I don't know if anyone here is ever going to play it, but damn, what an epic finale!

Wii fit is another one of nintendo's crazy scams. I'm pretty anti-nintendo these days, I just want them to pump out some fresh GAMES. Wii Fit and Wii Music aren't "games!" They still have stuff for the core nintendo fan (Priss/Red Scarf?!) but I'm so tired of the same old mascot characters (SERIOUSLY? EIGHT FUCKING MARIO PARTIES?!). As an aside, Zelda is about the only Nintendo property I still follow, and if I had played the original metroids, I'd probably be all over prime. The entire industry (movie industry, too) doesn't like taking risks on new properties, but I have to commend the few actually taking chances (Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Little Big Planet, etc.). I don't mean to say there isn't room for sequels, I just wish they'd show a little restraint when it comes to Mario.

what systems you got, flowers? If you're looking for something on the Wii, I'd definitely recommend No More Heroes.

I, ah, don't actually have a Wii ::meev::
I have pretty much all the Nintendo systems from NES through Gamecube, plus a Sega Genesis with CD. And on the portable side a DS. I'm sort of leaning toward playing some more of the SNES RPGs I never played before. (and I'm saving the new DS Castlevania for a time-waster on my flight to Japan ::meev::)

As for the Nintendo mascot stuff, I just ignore it. A lot of that stuff isn't even developed by Nintendo itself. The "real" games are still pretty good, at least for Mario and Zelda. I never liked Metroid.

In that case, have you ever tried the breath of fire series? 3 was my favorite (it's a ps1 game), but bof2 is on the SNES and it was a mighty fine game.

edit: also, http://cgi.ebay.com/Lunar-The-Silver-St ... 286.c0.m14 although its pretty expensive, youd be better off getting the ps1 version, assuming you had one

I finished Easy (all songs 5 stars) on Guitar Hero III today. AGAIN. My saved game bit the dust after my sister copied it (we were sharing it) and I had to start over. Already finished medium except for Raining Blood.

Now I need to practice Hard so I can play songs other than Slow Ride. ::meev::

god.. i'm so tired of slow ride. I used to work in the games section of a computer store and I listened to that stupid song ALL DAY. We unlocked all the songs, but no! EVERYONE HAD TO PLAY THAT PIECE OF SHIT

Holy sh*t I hate Slow Ride. Playing it, hearing it. I feel your pain. I have played it WAY TOO MANY TIMES.

But it is technically the easiest song of the game, isn't it?

But... but... it would be fun to play at least one game that used head tracking... D:

One of these days I'll pick up a PS3. "One of these days" being closer to the end of the next year, probably. XD My list of recommended games hasn't decreased any since the last time I posted. @__@

And the first four Mario Parties were amazing. Back when they were on cartridges.

Go outside? ...for fun? I can't remember the last time I did that. @_@

Nonono

The Sega Activator commercial is AMAZING and I would totally be convinced to buy one if I saw it back when it first aired.

Oh snap.

I can't hear you, you're not plugged into the AUDIO IN port ;)

No no, this is an 8-bit rpg. See all the text boxes? There's no audio besides the crappy soundtrack!

I'm getting ready for the daily Mario Kart tourney at the office. I've started using Peach and she's fun, but I haven't settled on a new car yet. I used to be a DK user, but another guy and I were using him and it got confusing so we had a match for DK. I lost. :|

At home I'm still playing through Guitar Hero: World Tour. I haven't beat the career mode yet, 68%, and I keep wasting time with the Music Studio.

I ended up starting "Majora's Mask" since I have it already. This time I swear I'm not going to give up in disgust at the controls - I've been pre-seasoned by playing "Ocarina of Time".
My first order of business after getting de-scrubbed was to go out and grub enough money for the bomb bag and adult wallet ::cred::

And now time for my first tip request: does the advanced swordsmanship course give you anything you can't get on your own?
