I'm glad you have your own opinion--really. However, I must admit that I used to HATE Dir en grey, but Kyo's lyrics just speak to me. I dunno... It's kinda cheesy, but I really do love the way the words make me feel. :) :)

I've never even heard of a Tetsu/Kyo comparison, ever. I don't see the similarities, and I've been listening to both bands for years. But maybe that's why I don't see them.

I'll be honest: when I first heard him I was like "O.o?! He can't sing for shit!"
But now I have grown out of that vain way of thinking and I think he's awesome in his own little Tetsu way ^_^
I say the same

Actually, when I first listened to Baroque, I didn't know MM had 3 vocalists, I just knew about Klaha and Gackt, so I thought I had downloaded the wrong band or one of the two had changed their voices for the album or something like that, I didn't dislike his voice, but I didn't like it, it just grew on me =)

The first MM song I heard EVER was Baroque, and jeebus I loved it. I seriously had not heard vocals like that before. I like things that are so drastically different than the norm of your own world.

Course, I'm gonna go with the last, sillyer option :):P

According to me,he is the MM's singer with the more emotion in his voice

When I first heard Tetsu's voice I loved it. I thought he had a very unique singing voice and I enjoyed, as I do now. I personally don't like how people have these ideals of what good singing is. That's how talented singers like Tetsu get no credit. Its also why many people insult black metal singing, when they don't truly understand how difficult it is to perform. I personally appreciate all styles of singing. Operatic and black metal styles being my two favs.

Enh, I don't think its so much appreciating truly talented singers, as it is enjoying the music they create.

Tetsu's voice somewhat hurt my ears when I first listened to Baroque...I don't hate his voice...if I wouldn't stand his voice, I would not listen any longer. But it's the way Malice Mizer began, and they're music was as well written as it was through to the Klaha era...each of the vocalist voices had it uniqueness...

I wish I hadda listened to Tetsu's singing before seeing this topic. The first thing I thought when I listened to Baroque was :o Then towards the end of the song, ifigured that he wasn't a bad singer.

I personally wouldn't want to listen to that type of singing for hours on end, but not everyone will instantly like or grow to like a person's singing.

Not everyone is in love with Gackt's voice. It doesn't surprise me that I know a few people that really can't stand his voice.
